Per Scholas is seeking an IT Support instructor to become a member of our Training Team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, problem-solving individual with strong technical and instructional skills, demonstrates the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment, and maintains a strong sense of accountability. To succeed in this role, candidates must be business-minded within our mission focus and excel in instructional delivery that meets clients’ and learners’ high expectations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Support instructor-led training that prepares students for entry-level to mid-level careers in IT Support. Responsibilities include daily instruction, assessment administration, attendance, one-on-one tutoring, daily evaluation and monitoring of individual student progress, addressing student violations with students in a consistent manner, and more
Provide students with access to relevant resources for outside learning on technologies and study aids relevant to the curriculum
Work closely with the team to identify student needs, provide the necessary support, establish individualized plans for student achievement, and participate in regular student-status meetings.
Maintain and update Salesforce and/or our LMS with student grades, certification scores, and progress notes.
Support and maintain the training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and other classroom materials.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US

Instructional Skill Sets

1-3 years of teaching or training experience
Strong technical background; able to grasp and convey highly technical subject matter
Ability to respond clearly to live digital conversations via a digital engagement platform such as Zoom or an in-person training environment.
Strong communication skills

Required Skill Sets

Proficient understanding of IT support fundamentals, including hardware, software, and networking concepts.
Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
Experience in troubleshooting common IT issues, including software installations, network configurations, and hardware malfunctions.
Knowledge of IT security protocols and best practices.
Ability to work with diverse IT tools and software like helpdesk ticketing systems, remote desktop tools, and hardware diagnostic utilities.
Understanding of cloud computing platforms and services.
Experience with mobile device management and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
Knowledge of IT support and best practices and service level agreements (SLAs).
Ability to stay updated with the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
Commitment to ongoing professional development, applicable certifications, and coursework to stay current with rapidly evolving technology trends and advancements.

Preferred Skill Sets

Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS, including knowledge of file systems, drivers, and system optimization.
Experience in setting up and managing both wired and wireless networks, with a deep understanding of IP addressing, subnets, routing, and network troubleshooting tools.
Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and securing mobile devices across various platforms, including Android and iOS.
Experience in setting up and managing Windows Server environments and roles such as Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
Experience in designing and implementing Group Policy to manage user environments, system settings, and software installations across an organization.
Experience in understanding and managing server storage solutions, including RAID configurations and different disk types.
Experience in implementing backup strategies on Windows Server and restoring data or system states when necessary.

Professional Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical/industry experience).
Strong technical aptitude (Google Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Salesforce, Slack, Zoom, etc.), project management, and organizational skills with detailed follow-through abilities.
Excellent written communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
Solid understanding of business needs.
Strong evaluation and data management skills.
Prior knowledge or background in IT (if minimal, a desire and willingness to learn what’s needed) and a passion for technology is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Relevant industry certifications, such as CompTIA A+ (1200 Series) , Network+, or others.
At least three years of experience in an IT support role.

Compensation

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range of $60,000 - $65,000, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.

Holidays & PTO: Full-Time Per Scholas team members enjoy over 40 days of paid time off each year through a mix of holidays, vacation, and sick/personal time! All employees are eligible for Holiday pay upon hire (a total of 22 holidays annually, including a week off for Independence day and a week before the New Year). Full-Time Benefits Eligible employees also receive 80 Wellness Hours to use for Sick, Safe, or Personal reasons and accrue Vacation at a rate of 8 hours at the beginning of every month, supporting rest, recharge, and work-life balance. Vacation accruals increase with tenure. Part-time employees are afforded time off on a prorated basis and in accordance with local requirements.

Position Overview

The Data & Evaluation Analyst plays a critical role in creating reports, managing, analyzing, and interpreting learner data to strengthen programs, improve outcomes, and demonstrate organizational impact. You see data as more than numbers—you see the people and stories behind it, and you are energized by turning complex information into insights that expand opportunity.

In this role, you will serve as a bridge between program teams, evaluation staff, and the Salesforce team. You will design and maintain reports and dashboards, respond to data requests, and help stakeholders think through how data should be structured to find the right answers. Your work ensures that high‑quality, accurate, and actionable information is available to support decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Reporting

Manage learner data within Salesforce, including demographic, survey, and assessment data used to evaluate program outcomes.
Design, build, and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards that support internal decision‑making and external reporting.
Support the development and revision of learner surveys and data collection instruments within Salesforce.
Identify opportunities to improve data quality, consistency, and usability across systems.

Analytics & Insights

Respond to internal and external ad hoc data requests, providing thoughtful analysis and guidance on how data should be interpreted.
Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for technical and non‑technical audiences.
Contribute to evaluation activities that measure program effectiveness, learner outcomes, and organizational impact.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with program, evaluation, and operations teams to improve how learner data is collected, structured, and used.
Collaborate with the Salesforce/IT/IS teams to ensure evaluation and reporting needs are reflected in system design.
Support organizational efforts to embed data‑driven decision‑making into workflows and culture.

Project & Process Support

Manage small‑scale data projects aligned with organizational goals.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes, documentation, and governance practices.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of professional experience working with data, analytics, or evaluation.
Strong experience working with Salesforce data, including reporting, data structure, and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting data requests and reporting needs for cross‑functional teams.
Understanding of evaluation concepts, program outcomes, or impact measurement.
Ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Comfort working in environments where priorities evolve and new challenges arise.
Experience in nonprofit, startup, education, or workforce development environments is especially valuable.

Skillsets

Proficiency with Salesforce reporting and dashboards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Strong analytical and data‑cleaning skills.
