• Set platform software strategy in partnership with Product Design and company leadership

The Role

As Nex’s Senior Embedded Software / AOSP Engineer, you bring Nex Playground to life. Your OS and firmware run on millions of devices, turning family living rooms into playgrounds where body motion, software, and on-device AI come together as one experience. As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will be responsible for testing, planning, and working closely with the team of developers to ensure the product meets all quality standards. This position requires availability to 5 days a week in-client office - Hong Kong based.

We’re looking for a QA Engineer who loves games, sweats the details, and enjoys learning new technology. Motion-based QA is different from traditional game QA: you’ll test with your whole body in real-world environments (lighting, room sizes, player heights, 1–4 players, etc.). Prior motion-gaming experience is not required—strong QA fundamentals and a learning mindset are.

What You'll Do

• Create and execute test plans and test cases for motion-based games and the Nex Playground experience.
• Validate core player experience for living-room play: onboarding, clarity, responsiveness, and “is this fun and understandable?”
• Test motion-game fundamentals such as responsiveness/latency, recognition consistency, occlusion handling, and edge cases.
• Perform functional, usability, regression, localization, and device/compatibility testing across the product surface area.
• Write excellent bug reports with clear repro steps, expected vs. actual results, environment details, and short video captures when helpful.

We’re looking for a QA Lead / Manager to lead and grow game/content QA function for Nex Playground—a living-room motion gaming platform built for families and friends.

This is a people-manager role with hands-on leadership expectations: you will be accountable for team performance, scalable QA practices, and release readiness across multiple game teams and releases.
