The Front of House Manager  is responsible for managing a team that develops, implements and continuously improves all quality, training, customer experience programs, cash reconciliation and at times the check-in (camera) department to improve accuracy, and operational initiatives, ensure safety, security, and all State and Local regulatory standards are maintained. This position is accountable for executing initiatives that facilitate the achievement of all hospitality goals at PharmaCann.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities 

• Development of high customer experience standards, to include a customer-oriented culture and industry leading customer engagement through sales training and product knowledge
• Implement a world-class customer service program to drive repeat business through strong local community networking, and customer data capture
• Work closely with GM and other Managers to exceed sales volume and KPI goals
• Work with cross-divisional managers to ensure adequate staffing is scheduled and payroll goals are met
• Comply and audit cash procedures as it pertains to preparing deposits and daily cash reconciliation
• Directly supervise the check-in/camera assigned team to ensure acceptable standards are maintained for the overall safety and upkeep of the dispensary.
• Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation and ensure menu availability is current.
• Deliver results and strategic direction by ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly through the store team.
• Communicate, work closely, and successfully collaborate with other Managers to achieve the organization’s goals.
• Establish and implement operational policies, standards, and procedures for retail staff.
• Assure that staff within all divisions of responsibility have a thorough understanding of our corporate processes, SOPs, and assist with providing education in areas that need to be addressed.
• Partner with the PharmaCann Human Resources team in the following HR functions:
  • Interview, recruit and hire to fill gaps in open positions in a timely manner based on store performance and volume
  • Train managers and employees in expected customer experience and hospitality standards using appropriate tools such as customer loyalty, customer satisfaction surveys and key KPI’s
  • Develop and maintain a training calendar and ensure associate onboarding and new hire training is complete
  • Ensure continuous training and development with team members through training curriculums that results in consistency across all stores
  • Write and deliver team members’ performance reviews in partnership with GM to determine succession plans, build on members strengths and develop areas for improvement
  • Manage the performance, Performance manage and coach, and discipline team members on performance poor performance and violation of company and compliance policies in partnership with GM and HR
  • Maintain a highly organized and professional documentation of employee issues
• This role may be required to assist with other duties as assigned as well as in other functions of the operation including but not limited to: call center, inventory, delivery acceptance, outreach, security, delivery, and visual merchandising

Competencies and Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age (or per state regulations)
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations management, or a related field is preferred
• Store management experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising the training, quality, and customer service in retail
• 1 year PharmaCann supervisory experience will be considered in lieu of 2 years supervisory experience
• Minimum 4 years’ retail experience, including a combination of front end and/or inventory responsibilities
• Skilled in Google and/or Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with significant P&L responsibility
• Strong knowledge of retail technology platforms and systems
• Must possess strong analytical skills to assess data, facts, and figures used to develop strategies designed to improve the business
• Valid Driver's License and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle background check (where applicable)

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements 

This job operates in a professional retail store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. This position requires weekends, nights, overtime as needed, holidays, and flexible work availability.  May require some travel.

The Lead Product Manager is the business champion and team linguist that is accountable for maximizing the value of their product in partnership with their development team. You will own the details, requirements, and communication of the business value delivered at the team level. You translate business requirements into product requirements to ensure that your team builds a product that delivers on user needs.  

This role will be the primary product manager for the Data Direct product, an API first product delivering syndicated data assets to clients, as well as the newly launched UI ordering capability. The person in this role is responsible for the strategy and execution of the Data Direct roadmap, shepherding a future of growth for both syndicated and custom assets for clients needing raw data at scale.  A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of product management and iterative software development, as well as exemplify keen stakeholder management and a desire to make our users’ lives easier.  API experience is a bonus.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Establish the strategy for Data Direct, syndicated and custom assets, now and in the future. 
• Oversee product development process including discovery, release breakdown, development, quality assurance testing, stakeholder collaboration, launch, user feedback / research, and iterative roadmap planning.
• Drive business value for the team by prioritizing and ordering product backlog items based on the product roadmap, inclusive of product, engineering, UX and data science roadmaps. 
• Experienced in managing team’s product backlog and ensuring it is transparent, visible and clearly communicated. 
• Partner with cross-functional engineering, agile delivery, experience design, commercial stakeholders and data science peers to translate business desires/requirements into effective features and stories that are ready for development.

• You may be asked to open and close the store which would require responsibility for a store key and alarm code.
• You may assist with the labeling or re-ticketing of items as needed.

There may be times when you are asked to help facilitate additional duties in the store, or may serve as a point-of-contact for Business Partners in the absence of a Manager being present. Some of these duties are outlined below, however this is not an exhaustive list.

• You conduct weekly cycle counts with an attention to detail in order to maintain inventory accuracy and support effective product allocations from our studio.
• You execute monthly floorset directives that highlight new product launches and our Southern California, timeless yet modern roots. You may be asked to submit floorset pictures to corporate for approval.
• You handle weekly cash deposits with precision, making sure everything is counted, balanced, and deposited smoothly.
• You facilitate the weekly return of warranty items to the Warehouse, ensuring all shipments are prepared, documented, and sent on schedule. 
• You contact and utilize the appropriate business partners for resources and guidance as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends or holidays as needed by the business
• Ability to lift or move at least 50 lbs 
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach
• Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 6 hours per shift
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the store is located
• Ability to open or close the store

About the Role:

Dr. Squatch is searching for an Account Manager - Kroger to manage our successful and growing Kroger business. This role will manage the day-to-day customer execution needs as well as work collaboratively to help execute our long-term strategy within Kroger. This role will work collaboratively across our operations, product, and marketing teams to drive activities to support this retail customer as well as our broker partner.

This role will report to the Associate Director of Sales.

This is a full-time role with company benefits based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $100,000 to $135,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and grow relationships across key decision-makers at Kroger to grow Dr. Squatch’s presence as an omnichannel brand
• Work closely with brokers, and external business partners to develop mutually beneficial short & long term strategies at Kroger
• Collaborate with the Associate Director of Sales to build and execute our sales strategy to encourage trial, market share growth & household penetration at Kroger
• Drive progress in collaboration with our marketing team to create visually stunning, best-in-class merchandising destinations for Dr. Squatch on shelf
• Develop and own strategy for trade promotions & customer spending at Kroger
• Collaborate with internal Dr. Squatch product, operations, and marketing teams to facilitate retail initiatives
• Manage collateral & assets the sales organization needs for successful outreach such as 1-pagers & sales presentations
• Provide key inputs for account-specific demand planning
• Work closely with the commercialization team to ensure all new item launches and initiatives are flawlessly executed in your accounts

About You:

• 3-5 years of Sales, Business Development, or Account Management background in CPG - preference for prior category experience in personal care or wellness at Kroger specifically
• Blend of experience between large established brands and early-stage ups
• Strong relationships or prior experience working with Kroger (& Harris Teeter)
• Proven success in achieving aggressive sales goals
• Prior experience managing multiple broker networks
• Prior experience optimizing performance and managing third-party merchandising groups
• Deep understanding of the landscape for national accounts, brokers, distributors, etc.
• Experience scaling a brand and pioneering retail sales a huge plus
• Ability to travel when necessary
• Excellent communication skills
• Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
• Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
• Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
• Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
• Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor
