SUMMARY

The function of the Retail Development Project Manager is to support the execution of new store openings and existing store updates across our growing retail footprint. Reporting to the Vice President of Retail Development, this role plays a critical part in translating design vision into fully realized, high-quality retail environments. You will operate across pre-development, construction readiness, and store turnover—ensuring every project is delivered seamlessly, consistently, and with a best-in-class standard of execution. This role requires strong communication, proactive problem-solving, and a hands-on approach to bringing stores to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Development & Project Coordination

• Lead and manage the pre-development process, ensuring alignment on timelines, deliverables, and critical path milestones
• Partner with Design and Visual Merchandising to secure complete design development packages in time to meet permitting and construction schedules
• Coordinate across architects, landlords, and local municipalities to manage permits, approvals, and landmark reviews
• Review architectural plans and shop drawings to ensure brand consistency across all locations, regardless of vendor or geography
• Oversee the coordination of signage, millwork, and technology packages, ensuring accuracy and readiness ahead of construction
• Identify opportunities to improve pre-development processes to drive efficiency and elevate final store quality
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure priority service, cost efficiencies, and consistent execution

Construction Readiness & Execution Support

• Ensure all documentation, approvals, and vendor coordination are in place to enable a smooth transition into construction
• Support punch list management, plan reviews (prelims, check sets, finals), and ongoing project tracking
• Utilize project management tools (e.g., SiteRise) to monitor progress, maintain timelines, and communicate status updates
• Attend cross-functional and vendor meetings to ensure alignment and proactive issue resolution

Store Turnover & Openings

• Lead store turnover planning and execution, ensuring a seamless transition from construction to retail operations
• Coordinate with Fulfillment and General Contractors on store deliveries, installation sequencing, and site logistics
• Order and manage store-specific fixtures, décor, and furniture to align with design intent and operational needs
• Oversee on-site installations including lifestyle, plant, and finishing elements
• Travel to store locations to lead turnover execution, ensuring brand standards and operational readiness
• Partner with Store Managers post-turnover to communicate outstanding items and ensure timely resolution

Cross-Functional Communication & Continuous Improvement

• Act as the central point of communication between internal teams (Design, Fulfillment, Facilities) and external partners
• Proactively identify risks, delays, or gaps, and drive solutions to keep projects on track
• Communicate project updates, changes, and store readiness needs clearly across all stakeholders
• Identify recurring issues and partner with Retail Development to implement scalable solutions
• Provide feedback on materials, finishes, and design elements to improve durability, cost-efficiency, and long-term performance

• Partner with Retail Facilities to coordinate vendor services and ongoing store needs
• Support store teams by ensuring environments are delivered to brand standards and are fully operational at opening

Role Summary

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the overall accuracy, control, and performance of inventory operations across the warehouse. This role ensures inventory integrity is maintained through disciplined execution of processes, accurate system management, and strong team leadership. The Inventory Supervisor balances hands-on operational oversight with analytical problem-solving to identify discrepancies, drive process improvements, and support overall operational flow.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Operations & Accuracy 

• Oversee daily execution of inventory workflows, including cycle counts, bin/location accuracy, putaway, replenishment, and internal transfers

Qualifications

• 3+  years of inventory, warehouse, or distribution experience, including 1+ year in a leadership role

• Experience with warehouse systems (NetSuite, RF Smart preferred) and understanding of how inventory impacts fulfillment and receiving

Operations: 

• You are comfortable leveraging technology (POS) to support daily store operations and pay close attention to timelines and updates as it relates to technology and systems in your role.
• You maintain floor standards by following visual directives and take pride in maintaining our beautiful store environment.
• You take initiative restocking and completing tasks in downtime to support store and sales readiness.
• You help fulfill Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) and Same Day Delivery orders (SHIPSI), ensuring every customer enjoys a smooth and convenient shopping experience.
• You will assist with receiving weekly allocation shipments in a timely manner to ensure the right items hit our floor at the right time.
• You are mindful of service standards and processes, keeping our policies front of mind when servicing the customer.
• You take great care with team equipment, and utilize best-practices when it comes to handling and securing tech.
• You may be asked to open and close the store which would require responsibility for a store key and alarm code.
• You may be asked to assist with the labeling or re-ticketing of items as needed.

There may be times when you are asked to help facilitate additional duties in the store, or may serve as a point-of-contact for Business Partners in the absence of a Manager being present. Some of these duties are outlined below, however this is not an exhaustive list.

• You conduct weekly cycle counts with an attention to detail in order to maintain inventory accuracy and support effective product allocations from our studio.
• You execute monthly floorset directives that highlight new product launches and our Southern California, timeless yet modern roots. You may be asked to submit floorset pictures to corporate for approval.
• You handle weekly cash deposits with precision, making sure everything is counted, balanced, and deposited smoothly.
• You facilitate the weekly return of warranty items to the Warehouse, ensuring all shipments are prepared, documented, and sent on schedule. 
• You contact and utilize the appropriate business partners for resources and guidance as needed.

Job Requirements: 

• Love for the gorjana brand
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends or holidays as needed by the business
• Ability to lift or move at least 50 lbs 
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach
• Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 6 hours per shift
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the store is located
• Ability to open or close the store
