What the Role Is
As Babylist’s Senior Engineering Manager, Machine Learning & Discovery+Site Monetization, you’ll lead the team driving the next era of our machine learning and personalization efforts across the product. This is a hands-on leadership role for a manager who remains technically fluent while scaling people, systems, and impact. You’ll manage and grow a high-performing ML-focused pod spanning product recommendations, search, PLPs, and site monetization, with a clear mandate: maximize revenue and user value across surface areas through personalization.
You’ll guide the team on technical direction behind our homepage feed, “add next” experience, and other core personalization surfaces, while building the foundations for long-term ML excellence at Babylist.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience as a front-line manager delivering production-grade software or ML systems
- 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor in ML or Data Science, plus proven experience leading teams that build end-to-end machine learning systems, ideally in personalization, recommendations, or consumer-facing ML products
- Deep familiarity with the Python ML ecosystem (e.g., pandas, sklearn, xgboost, PyTorch) and comfortable reviewing designs, unblocking technical challenges, and setting high technical standards
- Experience supervising ML Engineers and/or Data Scientists; bonus points for experience managing Software Engineers
- Strong understanding of the full ML lifecycle, including data pipelines, workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow), deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production
- Product-minded: passionate about technology, but primarily motivated by solving real user problems and driving business impact
- Experience working with large-scale, real-time or near-real-time data systems
- Comfortable owning and evolving the ML tech stack end-to-end, from data and modeling through production systems
- Background in consumer-facing products; experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or complex user journeys is strongly preferred

How You Will Make An Impact
- Build and lead the ML & personalization function: Hire, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team (Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Manager, and occasional Designer), shaping the roadmap, standards, and culture for ML at Babylist
- Own high-impact ML initiatives: Deliver personalization systems that improve discovery, engagement, and monetization across key surfaces, directly impacting business outcomes
- Set technical and algorithmic direction: Define modeling approaches, data strategy, and system architecture in partnership with senior technical leaders, balancing experimentation with scalable execution
- Be hands-on when needed: Review ML/DS designs and code, build proof-of-concept models, and conduct your own data science research to de-risk ideas and accelerate progress
- Develop talent: Coach engineers on technical growth, career progression, and performance, combining strong technical standards with empowerment
- Drive cross-functional alignment: Partner closely with Product, Design, Analytics Engineering, and Data to translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical direction
- Understand the full funnel: Develop a deep understanding of Babylist’s user journeys, user feedback loops, and financial models — and how ML systems influence them end-to-end
About Compensation
We use a market-based approach to compensation. The starting salary range for this role is:
USD - $250,000 to $308,000
CAD - $230,000 to $288,000
Your starting salary will be based on your location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity.

- Handle customer data with the utmost sensitivity, in accordance with Greenhouse security best practices
You should have
- Proven experience transforming large datasets using Python (hundreds of thousands of records or over 1GB)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python scripting for data analysis and manipulation
- Experience with Pandas or Jupyter Notebooks
- Experience managing technical work within projects, including leading source and target system analysis, specification, design, and development activities
- Ability to work within eastern timezone, preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, especially V-Lookups and Pivot Tables, a plus
- External Customer Interaction, a plus
- Familiarity with data engineering processes (ETLs) and data visualization, a plus
- Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and transforming data on RESTful APIs, a plus

Role & Team
As an Applied Analytics Lead at Overstory, you will play a critical role in linking our customer impact, data analytics, and product direction. Overstory’s vegetation intelligence technology provides industry-leading insights that help utilities improve their operational and strategic decisions. You’ll be the “tip of the spear,” working directly with utility customers to conceive of and deliver actionable analyses to solve their most pressing problems, while helping identify which solutions should inform our next generation of product capabilities.
This is a strategically significant hands-on role for someone who wants to move from advising on problems to owning them: using analytics to help utility customers turn Overstory insights into action today, and using what we learn to shape the product that scales that impact tomorrow.

What You’ll Do
Drive customer impact through analytics
- Own end-to-end analytical work for existing and new utility customers, in close partnership with Customer Success.
- Solve customer problems by bringing your full client advisory toolkit to bear: understand their goals and constraints, structure and analyze the problem, communicate and iterate on results, and guide to take action and create real-world impact
- Analyze large, complex datasets from Overstory’s platform, customer systems, and third-party sources and deliver outputs in the format that creates the most value: Excel models, presentations, in-product workflows, and lightweight prototypes that can inform future product development.
- Bring creativity, drive, and a curious, customer-first mindset to everything you do, ensuring customers maximize the value of our vegetation risk insights
Help shape what we build next
- Identify patterns across customer needs, use cases, and analytical projects, and translate them into clear opportunities for product development.
- Help determine which customer solutions should remain bespoke, which should become repeatable workflows, and which should evolve into scalable product capabilities.
- Partner closely with product teams to define frameworks, metrics, prototypes, and product ideas that improve how customers use and realize value from Overstory’s insights.
- Bring a deep understanding of customer decision-making, data needs, and operational realities into roadmap discussions and product prioritization.
Scale our ability to serve customers in novel ways
- Create processes, templates, and playbooks that become a core part of our customer experience.
- Improve how we deliver customer-facing analyses and experiences across teams.
- Strengthen the analytics workflows and infrastructure that support both customer impact and future productization.
Skills & Experience
- Passionate about tackling climate challenges with data-driven solutions.
- 3-5 years of professional experience managing customer relationships as a trusted advisor/counterpart; extremely comfortable in front of customers.
- Excited by the opportunity to use customer-facing analytical work to influence product direction and help build more scalable solutions over time.
- Strong experience working with large, complex datasets to create valuable business insights; can break down large problems into smaller, easier-to-digest parts
- Proficiency in Excel for data modeling and analysis.
- Demonstrable track record of learning new technical analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python / pandas, geospatial analysis tools)
- Demonstrable experience (or at a minimum a serious interest in) leveraging AI tooling to accelerate business impact.
- Proven ability to solve ambiguous problems, listen actively, collaborate with stakeholders, and lead through influence.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences
Nice To Have
- Experience with Python / pandas, SQL, and/or GIS
- Background in utility operations, infrastructure, or vegetation management

About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will apply your advanced analytics expertise to extract actionable insights from raw data. - Deep expertise in library design, API design, data structures, and algorithms.

- Proven ability to architect high-throughput distributed inference systems using Spark, Dask, or Ray.
- Experience in engineering robust data architectures with a focus on schema evolution and performance tuning.
- Experience with end-to-end orchestration (lineage tracking, resource scheduling, self-healing pipelines).
Tech Stack: Our backend is pure Python (NumPy, Pandas, Torch, PySpark, Cython, orchestrated in Airflow). We use Databricks as our data warehouse. While we'd like you to have very good familiarity with Python, many of our problems are stack-agnostic.

About the Role

Who we hope to find:
This 1–2 year fellowship is designed explicitly as a transition-to-industry opportunity. It bridges the gap between academic training and real-world application in digital health, clinical operations, and business analytics, while maintaining the academic rigour and publication support expected of a postdoctoral position.
The Fellow will be formally affiliated with the University of Calgary and embedded within PurposeMed’s Data and Analytics team. Elevating Patient Care & Health Equity
- Applying biostatistical methods including regression analyses, ROC curves, risk scoring, and survival analysis to real-world healthcare datasets

Advancing Academic Research & Partnerships
- Contributing to peer-reviewed publications, white papers, and conference presentations in collaboration with Dr. Somayaji
- Collaborating with government agencies, non-profits, and community partners, including HIV CTN-affiliated organizations, on joint research initiatives
- Receiving structured mentorship in business analytics, product decision-making, and applied healthcare data science
We need someone who has:
- A PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a closely related quantitative field (conferred or imminent, PhD candidates with a confirmed defense timeline are welcome to apply)
- Demonstrated experience with advanced statistical analyses: regression modeling (linear, logistic, mixed-effects), ROC curves, risk score development and validation, survival analysis (Kaplan-Meier, Cox proportional hazards)
- Proficiency in R, including tidyverse and statistical modeling packages
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying healthcare data warehouses
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and is able to present findings to clinical, operational, and non-technical audiences
- A proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
It would also be great if you have:
- Experience using Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels)
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) and version control (Git)

Base Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this position is CAD $180,000 - $223,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

As a Solutions Architect at Databricks within the Field Engineering org you will partner with our customers to design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology and services. What we look for:
- 5+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role with expertise in at least one of the following technologies:

OVERVIEW
Instacart will increase the number of features launched by 2x by the end of 2026 by effectively using AI. A primary driver of knowing which features to launch includes analytical work traditionally performed by data scientists in collaboration with a product team. You would be responsible for driving AI for Analytics data science work which includes:
- Product strategy: Using data to identify the most promising opportunity areas along with contributing data expertise to refine and develop new product ideas.
- AI expertise: You will be using and deploying a variety of AI systems in production settings.
- Intelligent systems: Improving a product feature by adding intelligent functionality to the product that relies on data science methods including statistical and machine learning methods

The Connectors team is the bridge between ClickHouse and the broader data ecosystem. About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python and the Data Ecosystem, you'll be a core contributor owning and evolving critical parts of ClickHouse's data engineering ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of high-performance database engineering and developer experience. You'll craft tools that enable Data Engineers and Data Scientists to harness ClickHouse's speed and scale in the frameworks they already use.
We're looking for someone who has lived the Data Engineer or Data Scientist experience firsthand. The data practitioner's world is shifting rapidly: databases are no longer just query targets, but they're becoming active participants in AI-powered workflows, serving as vector stores for RAG pipelines, backends for LLM-powered agents, and real-time feature stores for ML inference. You understand these workflows not from the outside, but because you've operated within them. You don't just build integrations, you bring product-level insight into what we should build and why.
You'll own the full lifecycle of key Python integrations, driving architecture, performance, and feature direction across:
- Orchestration Platforms: Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect
- Transformation Tools: dbt, SQLMesh
- AI & LLM Ecosystem: LangChain, LlamaIndex, n8n, and broader AI tooling: embedding pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation with ClickHouse as a vector store, ML feature stores, and LLM-powered data applications

- Solid experience with the Python data ecosystem: Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic, and related libraries
- Prior contributions to, or deep practical experience with, popular data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect)
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML in data engineering contexts: embedding generation, vector search, feature pipelines, or LLM-powered tooling in production, not just experimentation
- Strong understanding of database fundamentals: SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and familiarity with OLAP/analytical databases
- Solid experience with concurrent Python: threading, multiprocessing, and async patterns
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating across engineering functions and with open-source communities
Bonus points for:

L’objectif de l’équipe de pseudo-étiquetage est de créer des annotations de haute qualité sur les données de capteurs (images, nuages de points). Meet The Team:
Pseudo-Labeling team's goal is to create high quality annotations on sensor data (images, point clouds). The annotations include 2D, 3D bounding boxes, classes, trajectories, lane lines, segmentations, depths etc. The annotations are then used by different downstream users, for example, perception teams use it to train various models and simulation teams use it for generating new data.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement, test and deploy offline object detection, tracking and fusion modules to automatically create annotations on Cloud Services from logged sensor data (Cameras, Lidars, Radars)
- Demonstrated project management skills, serving as project lead guiding less experienced team members in multiple facets of project execution.

The Connectors team is the bridge between ClickHouse and the entire data ecosystem. What will you do?
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in JVM-based frameworks, you'll serve as a core contributor, owning and maintaining critical parts of ClickHouse's Data engineering ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of high-performance database engineering and developer experience, where you'll craft tools that enable Data Engineers to harness ClickHouse's incredible speed and scale.
You'll own the full lifecycle of data framework integrations - from the core database driver that handles billions of records per second, to SDKs and connectors that make ClickHouse feel native in JVM-based applications. This isn't just about writing code; you're building the foundation that thousands of Data engineers rely on for their most critical data workloads.
Your work will directly impact how companies process massive datasets, from real-time analytics platforms ingesting millions of events per second to observability systems monitoring global infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with the open-source community, internal teams, and enterprise users to ensure our JVM integrations set the standard for performance, reliability, and developer experience.
About you:
- 6+ years of software development experience focusing on building and delivering high-quality, data-intensive solutions.
- Proven experience with the internals of at least one of the following technologies: Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Kafka Connect, or Apache Beam.
- Experience developing or extending connectors, sinks, or sources for at least one big data processing framework such as Apache Spark, Flink, Beam, or Kafka Connect.

The ML Platform Engineering team at Afresh is responsible for building and maintaining the foundational infrastructure and tooling that powers all of our machine learning and applied science solutions. We provide the shared components and services that enable our teams to develop, deploy, and scale robust ML models. This includes a performant data API, configurable featurization, reliable forecasting systems, highly parallel optimization engines, and scalable training pipelines, and deep experimentation capabilities. As our product suite and customer base grow, so does the scale and complexity of what our platform needs to support, gracefully accommodating predictions and simulations across various time scales (hours, days, weeks), complex data hierarchies (pallets on a truck, shelves of mangos in a store, chunks of fruit in a bowl), and endless configuration possibilities (average shelf fullness, backroom loads, truck capacities).
About the Role
As an ML Platform Engineer on the ML Platform Engineering team, you will be instrumental in elevating our core ML platform to its next level of performance, reliability, and scalability. You'll work on the critical infrastructure that directly enables all of Afresh's Machine Learning and Applied Science teams to innovate faster and deliver impact. Your contributions will empower our product suite, including our flagship Prediction Engine, to power replenishment decisions on more than 15% of all produce sold in the United States.
What You'll Do
- In your first 3 months, you might deliver a feature that helps generalize model configuration, enables no-code model deploys for our various ML solutions, or vastly improves integration testing across our ML systems.
- By the end of your first 6 months, you will have owned the implementation of significant scalability improvements and additions to our ML platform. This might include new feature pipelines that power our recommendation engine, or work to stand up the first instance of real-time inference at Afresh.
Skills and Experience
- BS in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of shipping high-quality applications and services.
- Experience working collaboratively with machine learning engineers, data scientists, or applied scientists on large-scale software projects involving machine learning models.
- Deep expertise in library design, API design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong familiarity with Python.
Tech Stack: Our backend is pure Python (NumPy, Pandas, Torch, PySpark, Cython, orchestrated in Airflow). We use Databricks as our data warehouse. While we'd like you to have very good familiarity with Python, many of our problems are stack-agnostic.

Role Summary
As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will lead the design and deployment of high-impact AI solutions, expertly bridging traditional predictive modeling with next-generation Agentic AI. You are equally comfortable tuning a Gradient Boosted Tree for structured data as you are architecting a multi-agent system for complex reasoning tasks. You will collaborate directly with clients to understand their needs, translate business challenges into technical solutions, and provide expert guidance on AI/ML best practices. The role requires overseeing dataset quality for model training and leveraging GCP for efficient model deployment and scaling. You will utilize the Google AI ecosystem (Vertex AI, Google ADK) and orchestration frameworks like LangChain/LangGraph to move AI solutions from experimental demos to reliable, production-grade systems grounded in statistical rigor.
Role and Responsibility
- Architect and implement sophisticated multi-agent systems and autonomous workflows leveraging the Google AI SDK, LangGraph, and LangChain to solve complex, non-linear business processes.
- Lead the design and construction of cloud-native solutions, using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker to ensure that AI models are deployed on scalable, reliable infrastructure.
- Apply rigorous statistical evaluation frameworks to model performance, moving beyond standard metrics to include uncertainty estimation, calibration, and robust hypothesis testing during model optimization (LoRA, QLoRA).
- Lead the development of custom predictive models and deep learning solutions, utilizing frameworks like PyTorch and Scikit-Learn to select suitable architectures—whether decision trees, neural nets, or ensembles—based on performance and client criteria.
- Design and implement state-of-the-art generative models for NLP and multimodal tasks, leveraging tools like OpenCV for image preprocessing and Stable Diffusion concepts where applicable.
- Champion MLOps best practices within the team, building validated data pipelines and CI/CD/CT workflows using Kubeflow and Vertex AI Pipelines to ensure model quality and integrity.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand their unique needs, translating business challenges into technical solutions and providing expert guidance on dataset management best practices.
- Personally tackle the most difficult engineering challenges, identifying technical risks such as overfitting or latency issues, and optimizing hyperparameters to ensure precision and interpretability.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 7+ years of technical experience, with at least 3+ years focused on ML/AI and 1 year in a consulting capacity.
- Experience building and evaluating agentic loops, including tool-use (function calling), self-reflection, and multi-step reasoning architectures.
- Deep proficiency in the modern Python AI stack, including extensive experience with core libraries (NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch) and specialized LLMOps/Agentic tools for monitoring and evaluation (e.g., LangSmith, Braintrust, AgentOps, or HoneyHive)
- Proven track record of building AI/ML solutions for users, including experience with GenAI common solutions like Vertex AI, OpenAI API, and vector database technologies.
- Strong foundation in probabilistic modeling, Bayesian statistics, and experimental design (A/B testing for AI) to ensure model reliability and groundedness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently articulate complex AI concepts to business, technical, and non-technical stakeholders.
