We are currently looking for passionate early-career professionals and recent graduates to join our October cohort for an intensive, 6-month training program to become Data Engineering (with Databricks) Consultants.
We don’t expect you to be a Data Engineer on day one, but we do expect you to have the drive to become one. Upon completing the program, you’ll work within our EMEA and US customer teams to help them solve their data engineering, ML, MLOps, GenAI, LLMOps, and cloud migration puzzles.
DATAPAO's Data Engineering Academy is a 6-month intensive training program launching in early October 2026. It is designed to scale you up into a top-notch Data Engineer (with Databricks) Consultant.
The program is put together and run by consultants and technical Instructors who have delivered Databricks projects and enabled data professionals across EMEA for years. This means you will have the opportunity to learn from the world-class consultants and instructors who built DATAPAO's Gold Partner legacy within the Databricks Partner Ecosystem.
Phase 1 (Month 1-3)
This will be a high-intensity learning phase. You’ll follow a bi-weekly sprint model: one week of deep-dive technical classes, followed by one or two weeks of hands-on project delivery. You’ll master the stack we use for our global clients, specifically Apache Spark and Databricks on AWS/Azure.
Phase 2 (Months 4-6)
During this period, you’ll gradually move into complex capstone projects and also start shadowing our senior consultants on real-life engagements. The phase focuses on building your consulting skills by delivering simulated projects and shadowing real calls to observe how we navigate requirements and advise stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to internal strategic projects, eg. building an automatic migration tool.
Post-Graduation
Once you graduate, you’ll officially join our project teams. Over time, as your seniority grows, you’ll transition into delivering and/or leading complex end-to-end projects across our entire global portfolio.

The base salary for this position is 900,000 HUF gross/month. Additionally, you will receive a 750,000 HUF gross bonus at the end of each quarter (dependent on program milestones completion) up until your first work anniversary.
We will kick-off the selection process in mid-May for our upcoming October 2026 cohort.
This program requires EU citizenship or a valid right to work in Hungary. We do not currently offer sponsorship or visa transfers (including Skilled Worker visas). Applicants must have the legal right to work on a full-time basis to be considered for the program.

The Role We are seeking an exceptional Python Lead Engineer to join a small team working on complex data pipelines, AI/ML systems, and cutting-edge software solutions. This role will be responsible for managing technical objectives, providing technical leadership, and maintaining a hands-on approach to development. The ideal candidate will work closely across teams within WorldQuant as part of our business-facing technology organization.
A successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Python development, data engineering, software architecture, and design principles. Position Overview

We are currently looking for a well-versed (Senior) Data Engineer to work with our EMEA and US customers and help them solve their data engineering, ML and/or ML Ops, and cloud migration puzzles.
As a Data Engineer, you are expected to deliver (across industries) on some of our most complex projects - individually or by leading small delivery teams. Although we work for the biggest multinational companies where years-long behemoth projects are the norm, our projects are fast-paced, typically 2 to 4 months long. The majority are delivered using Apache Spark/Databricks on AWS/Azure and require you to directly manage the customer relationship, alone or along with a Project Manager. Additionally, at this seniority level, we expect you to compound your impact across the team and the organization - by mentoring more junior engineers, evaluating the quality of their work, and contributing to hiring best-in-class data engineers.

You are fluent in English and willing to travel (mainly in the EU and normally within a short business trip setup) up to 15% of your time.
