We are seeking an experienced System Safety Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Atlanta, GA in support of our Altius product line. Altius is a versatile platform designed to provide on-demand capability that can be launched from ground, air, or sea to conduct a variety of mission types. We work closely with our broader Engineering team to ensure these cutting-edge systems are safe and effective for development, testing, and deployment in complex operational environments.

As a System Safety Engineer at Anduril, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of advanced Reliability & System Safety tools and methodologies to drive excellence in our safety processes. You will support the Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Hardware & Software development teams across the product development lifecycle by guiding Functional Hazard Analysis, Fault Trees, System Safety Assessments, and Hazard Management and Hazard Mitigation activities for your product(s). The Test and Evaluation team at Anduril plays a crucial role in our mission, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. Our team conducts full system level development testing, new production acceptance testing, software validation testing and much more. This position is looking for a highly motivated flight test engineer with emphasis in software/hardware capability development and evaluation for the Altius UAS platform. Altius is a Group 2/3 autonomous vehicle specializing in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. You will be responsible for the evaluation of the software and hardware capabilities for operational suitability as well as Altius’s integration into the full suite of Anduril systems to complete complex operations.

What you’ll do

• As a flight test engineer, under minimal supervision, you will be responsible for test planning, execution, reporting, and evaluating the system under test (software and/or hardware).
• Test duties include:
• Candidate will support and plan test events conducted at test sites as required by the specific test.
• Configuration management of test owned assets. This includes specific to test configuration management (hardware components, specific payloads, software/firmware configuration) as well as fleet management (facilitate and track required maintenance, planning/assigning asset requirements for current testing and future efforts).
• Generation of evaluation test plans and reports focusing on system functionality and suitability of software and hardware integration efforts. In addition to technical test planning, planning includes safety (risk, hazards, develop mitigations) and logistical (available hardware, airspace, personnel resources, timeline/scheduling).
• Generate and execute test cards, conduct pre and post flight briefings, and manage test events with diverse support teams (pilots, engineering subject matter experts (SME), operations). Testing execution will include operating Altius when conducting system evaluation testing.
• Collaborate with SMEs and cross functional teams within the business line through development and production testing, reporting of test findings, and test status. This includes adjudication of testing tasks and characterization of issues, observations, and detailing results.
• Interface daily with hardware and software engineering teams.
• Collect metrics for flight test events to include sortie information and delays.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution
• Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
• Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Must play in active role in strengthening communication channels both within the team and externally (engineering, program leadership, operations).

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong software and documentation experience; familiarity with Linux based operating systems, networking, ssh, and command line.
• 3+ years flight test engineering or system level testing experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead avionics system development from concept through production, ensuring seamless integration, reliability, and performance across Anduril's air systems.

This person will work with the cross-functional organizations to identify gaps in test coverage and own the design and delivery of the hardware and software test solution. A strong Test Design Engineer will need to have a proven track record of delivering user-friendly test solution for validating electronic components and sub-assemblies and has a background in hardware, software, integration and production support.

The Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. As a Staff Software Engineer - Security , you will take ownership of and enhance the security roadmap for TRS products and software services, working closely with engineering teams to create solutions that not only meet but exceed industry-standard security goals. You will engage with various teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in designs, implementations, integrations, and processes, while also designing and developing security software for embedded systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering with a focus on platform security, enabling them to conduct complex security architecture reviews, research and mitigate exploits targeting hardware and software, and implement critical features in collaboration with engineering teams to build resilient products.

The Deployment Engineer is responsible for preparing, configuring, and validating BESS control, network, and EMS systems prior to shipment to project sites. This role ensures systems arrive site-ready, reducing commissioning risk, minimizing field rework, and accelerating site bring-up.

This position is factory-focused and hands-on, working closely with engineering, controls, EMS, and commissioning teams to deliver fully validated systems before field deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform factory pre-deployment of BESS systems, including controls, EMS, networking, and system configuration
• Configure and validate system components prior to shipment (PLCs, EMS, network devices, gateways, firmware, and software)
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities and ensure systems meet commissioning readiness requirements
• Validate system configurations, versions, and integration points prior to site deployment
• Identify and resolve issues early to prevent downstream field and commissioning delays
• Collaborate with Controls Engineers, EMS Deployment Engineers, Network Engineers, and Engineering teams
• Develop and execute pre-deployment checklists, validation steps, and sign-off procedures
• Document system configurations, versions, and factory-validated states
• Support continuous improvement of factory pre-deployment standards and processes
• Provide limited field support during commissioning as needed to ensure continuity between factory and site execution

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting deployment, integration, or commissioning of OT or industrial systems
• Hands-on experience configuring and validating control systems, EMS/SCADA, or industrial networks
• Strong understanding of system integration across controls, networking, and software domains
• Ability to follow and improve structured deployment and validation processes
• Comfortable working in fast-paced production or factory environments
• Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support commissioning or site bring-up as needed

Preferred Experience

• Experience with utility-scale BESS, renewables, or power generation systems in Linux CLI environment
• Familiarity with Siemens PLCs, Ignition EMS, and industrial networking concepts
• Experience supporting FATs or factory integration activities
• Experience working alongside commissioning and field deployment teams
• Background bridging engineering design and field execution

About the Role:

Under the general direction of the Professional Services Operations Lead, the Engineer will provide clients with remote and on-site support services across North America (and international locations, as applicable) in a wide range of client environments.  Physical Infrastructure design/Installation, wireless design, and hardware configuration are standard tasks the Engineer will perform.  Environments can include, but are not limited to, traditional data center facilities, warehouses, office buildings, MDF/IDF closets, headends, and remote outdoor facilities.

What You’ll Do:

• Accurately document network infrastructure and design.
• Perform systems engineering, design, analysis, and experimentation of wireless networks.
• Plan, design, engineer, configure, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair classified and unclassified wireless LANs, including wireless access points and their interconnection to the wired infrastructure.
• Provide recommendations for wireless network optimization, additions, and upgrades to meet requirements.
• Perform RF coverage studies, throughput testing,g and wireless site surveys.
• Conduct a root cause analysis of communication issues.
• Lead/assist with proof-of-concept trials with new technologies.
• Develop and maintain standards, reports, and various other types of documentation.
• Determine Wireless Access Point (WAP) placement to optimize coverage across various client environments.
• Conduct client-facing meetings (in person/virtual) in a professional manner.

• Installation and decommission of all types of enterprise-level equipment and infrastructure in various types of environments.

• Research /resolve unforeseen problems with little to no consultation.
• Provide guidance and shadowing opportunities for lower-level technicians to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Perform firmware and/or BIOS updates on server, storage, and networking hardware platforms.
• Support lower-level peers in performing crisis management in the event of critical situations or major service outages.
• Provide remote console access to various devices via WebEx, Teams, or Zoom screen sharing.
• Perform basic or pre-defined tasks as directed by the team lead.
• Actively participate during the service transition phase to perform knowledge transfer and documentation.
• Review, report, and maintain accurate records, document all issues/concerns, and submit to the client.
• Assist in performing root cause analysis.
• Determine when/if escalation to leadership is necessary.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Travel is required for physical network installation and configuration.

Qualifications & Interests:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise-level network design and support, including: IEEE 802.1, WAN/LAN, optimization, load balancing, routing, switching, QOS, TCP/IP, P2P, and P2MP wireless equipment, with hands-on experience administering Cisco wireless access points and controllers.
• A valid Driver's Licence is required. 
• Prior MSP experience desired.
• Thorough understanding of Ekahau Pro Suite and Sidekick functionality.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
• CompTIA Network+ and Cisco CCNA certifications (or equivalent experience preferred).
• Ability to conduct clear and concise communication in English (written and verbal).
• Fundamental understanding of all Office365 products and their operation.
