Actuary – Model Development

JOB SUMMARY:
The Actuary will be responsible for building, testing, and validating MG-ALFA models and will report to the Model Steward. The model is used for Asset Adequacy Testing, Asset/Liability Management, Statutory Forecasting, ORSA, VNB, and to support various special project initiatives. The individual will streamline our modeling functionality to enable efficient and reliable projection capabilities. The Actuary is expected to have detailed knowledge of MG-ALFA, Statutory accounting, and GAAP accounting.

The Associate Actuary reports to the Actuary of Capital Management & Deal Team and will be responsible for leading and collaborating on multiple transactions. This role supports strategic financial initiatives by developing, validating, and interpreting actuarial models used to evaluate capital deployment, reinsurance transactions, and other corporate financing solutions. This role partners closely with MCOE, Finance, Pricing and senior actuarial leadership to provide analytical insights that optimize the company’s capital position and drive informed decision-making.

The Associate Actuary will be responsible for calculating, analyzing, reporting, and explaining reserves and other actuarial financial statement items for the Indexed Universal Life. Base Pay Range. The base pay range for this position is the range National Life reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors, including: prior experience and job-related knowledge; education, training and certificates; current business needs; and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
Additional Compensation and Benefits.
