• Raise quality and confidence through automation: Improve code quality across the engineering organization by authoring custom lint rules, maintain code generation pipelines that ensure type safety across packages, tune and maintain CI workflows to be both thorough and fast, and ensure that quality gates catch real issues rather than slow developers down.
• Keep the foundation solid: Upgrade and maintain critical dependencies across a large dependency graph by navigating breaking changes in tools and manage pnpm catalogs, patches, and overrides to keep ~20 packages building cleanly.

ABOUT YOU 🦄

• You have 5+ years of professional experience working with some combination of Node/TypeScript, React, React Native, GraphQL, and Postgres (or similar relational database).
• You have a passion for performance and observability: improving load times, digging into metrics and traces to diagnose issues, or speeding up CI pipelines all sound like fulfilling projects. Experience with GitHub Actions, E2E testing frameworks, or mobile-specific concerns like over-the-air updates and native build tooling is a plus.
• You're comfortable working across the full stack and diving deep into unfamiliar systems to understand how they work and how to make them better, whether that’s tracing a performance regression through GraphQL resolvers, ORM models, or caching layers. Bonus points for hands-on experience with large-scale TypeScript + GraphQL stacks and pnpm workspaces.
• You've led or participated in large-scale codebase migrations where “just rewrite it” wasn’t an option. You understand the technical and social challenges that come with new tooling and processes, and how to break massive changes into safe, incremental steps.

As Montessori Assistant Teacher (internally titled Assistant Teacher II) for Bezos Academy, you share our passion for early childhood education and the Montessori method, drawing your energy from working in a child-initiated learning process. Your responsibilities will include assisting lead teachers in developing and implementing a program that promotes the cognitive, language, emotional, social, and physical development of each child. Drawing on your previous experience working with young children, you will support lead teachers in high-quality, tuition-free, Montessori-inspired programs in our growing network of preschools in under-resourced communities.

LOCATIONS

We are actively hiring Montessori Assistant Teachers for our preschools in the Seattle-Tacoma metro area: 

• Renton – North Highlands (3000 NE 16th Street, Renton, WA 98056)

The start date for the Montessori Assistant Teacher position will be July 21, 2026. For those who are not already credentialed, you will elect to either participate in an external training program or enter our part-time training program to become Montessori certified in the fall. Please note that this will require some coursework to be completed outside normal working hours.

SCHEDULES, BENEFITS, AND COMPENSATION

• School schedules vary depending on community needs but generally range from 8am-5:30pm, with teachers staggered across these hours with varying start and end times totaling no more than 8 hours per day. Your specific schedule will be determined with your school leader when considering all staff, classroom, and community needs.
• This is a full-time (40 hours per week), benefits-eligible, non-exempt/hourly position.
• Compensation for this position is $26-$36 per hour (~$54,000 - $74,000 annually). The upper third of the compensation range is typically reserved for existing employees who have been in the role for multiple years and demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting compensation will vary with prior experience and qualifications but is estimated at $29-$32 per hour. 
• This role includes 32 paid days of scheduled breaks, 3 paid days of personal time off, 9 paid days of sick (care) time, 10 paid holidays, and additional time off if required by applicable law. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Meet one of the following criteria:
  • Four years of professional experience as an aide, assistant, or lead teacher of children from infancy through third grade
  • Two years of professional experience as an aide, assistant, or lead teacher of children from infancy through third grade AND an associate’s degree in a relevant field (i.e., child development, early childhood education etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree
• Primary Montessori teaching credential from a MACTE-accredited institution or on track to obtain one within two years of hire
  • If you do not hold a Primary Montessori teaching credential from a MACTE-accredited institution, you will be eligible to complete the Bezos Academy Montessori Primary teacher coursework, provided at no cost
• Ability to pass background checks, tuberculosis screenings, and trainings required by the state of Washington required to supervise children independently
• Ability to independently supervise, communicate effectively with, and care for young children safely, including ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
• Access to reliable transportation to and from work and ability to consistently attend work as scheduled to ensure proper staff-to-child classroom ratios and support smooth school operations

This role requires a Primary Montessori teaching credential from a MACTE-accredited institution. If you do not currently have this credential, your employment in this role is provisional until you successfully obtain one. You must obtain this credential within two years of your start date to remain in this role. As a Food Service Assistant at Bezos Academy, you’ll help provide nutritious, compliant meals to children at our tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschool and provide direct support with a variety of additional tasks both in and out of the classroom. You will manage all aspects of food preparation and service with strong attention to detail, organization, and adherence to safety protocols. Key responsibilities include preparing CACFP-compliant menus, placing food orders and managing food costs, receiving and verifying food deliveries, ensuring all meals are delivered to classrooms on time, and managing all clean-up, organization, and documentation. GO Tutor Corps Teacher Residency
Location: Washington, DC
Stipend: $22,000 (prorated pending start date) | Timeline: August 2026 until June 2027

At the GO Tutor Corps, we believe great teachers are homegrown. That’s why we’ve created the GO Residency—a pathway to the classroom for aspiring educators committed to transforming outcomes for students.

The GO Residency is a school-based teaching apprenticeship, spanning 1 to 2 years, designed to support individuals pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and teaching certification. Residents are placed at one of our partner schools where they gain immersive, hands-on experience through our gradual release in a real classroom under the guidance of a seasoned Mentor Teacher. After acceptance into the program, Residents apply to and enroll in a MAT program through one of our graduate school partners. What You Will Do:

• Teach mathematics to students from Pre-K through G2 grades

About You

• Current valid Principal and Teacher license in the state of Washington

Position Overview: DCI is hiring a full-time Special Education Coordinator. The Special Education Coordinator is responsible for assisting school leadership in special education compliance and coordinating with School Counselors, Psychologists and the Director of Student Support to ensure the delivery of services to students with exceptional learning needs at DCI. 

Salary Range:  $69,966 - $116,323 (Starting salary is determined by education and years of relevant experience) 

Qualifications: 

• A Master's Degree in Special Education is preferred (Bachelor's Degree and deep knowledge of special education required).

DCI is hiring a Diploma Program (DP) Coordinator. 

The DP Programme Coordinator is the instructional and operational leader of the IB Diploma Programme within the school. This role ensures that the programme is implemented in alignment with IB standards and practices while supporting teachers, students, and families throughout the two-year Diploma Programme cycle.

This position ensures student success in the IB Diploma Program. In alignment with International Baccalaureate (IB) rules, the DP Coordinator is responsible for both pedagogical and administrative leadership. This position manages the development of the DP Program, coaches teachers and effectively solves problems.

Salary Range:  $69,966 - $116,851 (Starting salary is determined by education and years of relevant experience) 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• A Master's Degree is preferred.
• Experience in an IB World School and deep understanding of the academic culture of IB.
• Previous experience as a DP, CP, and/or MYP Coordinator preferred.
• Successful experience in a public high school that demonstrates the candidate can effectively interact with students, families, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Previous experience as a teacher instructional coach is strongly preferred.
• Experience in presentation of workshops, professional development, or public speaking.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly beneficial.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and superior interpersonal skills to be able to build strong working relationships with teachers, school leaders, students and families, and other key stakeholders. 
• Must possess strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, and plan, implement and monitor work independently as a leader and as part of a team.
• Ability to use multiple technology platforms to guide instruction and communicate with students and families and proficiency with communicating using G-Suite tools, including Gmail, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities, Qualities & Skills:

• Lead the DP Program with fidelity to IB standards and practices and to consistently improving student outcomes 
• Ensure compliance with IB DP rules and regulations, including, but not limited to: assessment management, testing management, registration of DP students, submission of assessments to the IB, requests for accommodations, Programme management etc.
• Foster concept driven, inquiry based approaches to teaching, learning and assessment in grades 11 and 12 through coaching, feedback, and PD as appropriate.
• Provide leadership to teams and individuals in the written, taught and learned elements of the Diploma Programme curriculum framework.
• Work with teachers to establish a grade 11 and 12 assessment calendar to ensure that assessments are spread across two years as evenly as possible.
• Establish and maintain a calendar of IB events and deadlines across grades 11 and 12 with a two year planning horizon in partnership with the IB Director.
• Develop, in coordination with the Terminal Program Specialist, the CAS component of the DP.
• Support Instructional Departments, including Department Chairs and Instructional Coaches, with understanding relevant aspects of the DP Program 
• Work closely with school leaders to identify areas for instructional improvement that impact the DP Program.
• Support the development and publishing of curriculum documents for the wider school community in print and online.
• Support teachers in writing and implementation of school wide curriculum initiatives informally & formally as needed (attendance at department meetings, classroom walk-throughs and observations, organizing and leading professional development sessions).
• Support Departments and their leaders in their understanding and implementation of changes to subjects brought about by five year reviews from the IB or DCI itself.
• Work to establish relationships with other IB schools in the D.C. metro area and other countries and foster collaboration and partnership with them.
• Liaise with IBA Global Center, IBMA regional office and IBCA on a regular basis along with other members of the IB Team
• Promote the use of the IB program resources within the school community and ensure that staff members are made aware of professional development opportunities.
• Ensure that copies of IB publications pertaining to the DP are available to all staff members.
• Support the IB Director in completing the IB Evaluation and any other accreditation from an outside organization including from NEASC
• Establish and maintain a record of completed planners.
• Publish the DCI programme of inquiry/subject overviews/course outlines.
• Support the CAO and IB Director in development of improved instructional practices aligned to the IB, including developing, reviewing and revising the school’s programme of inquiry/subject overviews/course outlines.
• Develop, review, and revise the school’s scope and sequence documents for the DP, as needed, and in alignment with Instructional Coaches.
• Participate in discussions about, and facilitate, DP faculty professional development in collaboration with the CAO and Director of IB
• Ensure students and parents have a deep understanding of the IB Program, and especially the DP, through a variety of mediums.
• Ensure environmental stewardship, social justice, and that international mindedness is infused into pedagogy and practice.
• Embrace French, Spanish, and Chinese cultures by leading and participating in cultural activities for faculty and students.
• Collaborate with the MYP Coordinator to ensure alignment across 6th - 12th grade 
• Guide the school through the DP evaluation process.
• Other duties as assigned.
