About the Team

ETI’s Storage Infrastructure team is responsible for the core storage layer that underpins many of ETI's stateful services. Our scope ranges from managing the physical hardware to operating the distributed databases and storage systems built upon it. We run this infrastructure globally across Cloudflare's network, which presents unique and complex engineering puzzles. We navigate efficiently expanding storage capacity, optimizing rebuild operations, and coordinating operations across failure domains to uphold durability. While other service teams focus on product development, our mission is to ensure the underlying storage is reliable, performant, and scalable.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will help build and operate the next generation of globally distributed storage systems. You will own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the stack. On any given day, you might write a design document for a new provisioning system, model failure domain dependencies across edge locations, benchmark new storage hardware, build standardized observability and runbooks for distributed database clusters, or automate operational toil through purpose-built tooling and intelligent automation. You can expect to interact with a variety of languages and technologies including Rust, Go, Saltstack, and Terraform.

We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer for Application Engineering. As a Sr Software Engineer on the Applications Engineer team, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to deliver real-world applications and value from the leap forward in computing enabled by quantum technology. 

We don't just build the world's best quantum computers - we apply cutting edge quantum computing tools to real world problems. Until now, our team of Applications Scientists have been building prototypes, working closely with our customers. Our new department, Applications Engineering, will ultimately help transform proven quantum computing use-cases pioneered by our scientists into production applications, making those innovations available to more people and businesses by packaging and deploying these tools as SaaS applications.

But first, we must mature existing proof-of-concept quantum code into production grade applications. As a hands-on team lead for a new engineering team, you will work on enhancing developer experience (DevEx) by applying best practices to research-grade code. You will also set up CI / CD pipelines, software packing tools, and pre/post flight tests for new algorithms as they go into deployment. Where possible you will also be in charge of optimizing and parallelizing traditional algorithms, to reduce pre-processing and post-processing workloads. You will spearhead a new team taking newly invented quantum applications, and turning them into well defined modules of reliable SaaS applications. Think of it as being a forward-deployed engineer for quantum computing applications; the strongest candidates will be generalists with wide-ranging interests.

The Role

The Role:

Team Overview

The Platform Security Engineering (PSE) team builds security into Anduril's products from architecture through production. We work directly with business lines to design and implement security solutions tailored to their systems — then promote proven patterns into shared, composable platform services that the entire organization can use. Our mission is threefold: build security solutions for business lines, promote those solutions into the platform, and enable teams to build and operate securely on their own. The scope includes cryptographic protocol design, hardware root-of-trust architectures, secure communication for autonomous and robotic systems, operating system hardening, and distributed security infrastructure across embedded, edge, and cloud environments.

Job Description

We're looking for a principal-level engineer to serve as a technical leader for platform security across Anduril. This role combines deep expertise in cryptography, systems security, and secure architecture with the ability to drive security strategy across business lines and the platform. You'll own the design of Anduril's most critical security systems — cryptographic infrastructure for autonomous platforms, hardware root-of-trust architectures for robotic systems, secure communication protocols for contested environments — and you'll set the technical direction that shapes how security is built into every product. This is a role for someone who has designed and shipped security systems at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and software, and can lead others through complex technical decisions with lasting consequences.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and architecture for platform security across Anduril's product ecosystem
• Design cryptographic systems, protocols, and key management architectures for autonomous and robotic platforms operating in contested and disconnected environments
• Lead the design of hardware root-of-trust architectures integrating TPMs, TEEs, HSMs, and secure boot across diverse embedded platforms

Anduril’s Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) is a division with two missions: 1) build highly capable autonomous drones, and 2) build solid rocket motors at scale. We transform products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius from early concepts into fully operational capabilities by partnering closely with specialist engineering, operations, and production teams. ABOUT THE JOB

RAIL has two primary customers:

• Mission Autonomy (MA) — Mission Autonomy at Anduril is responsible for coordinating mission-level behaviors by manipulating hardware. For example, “fly to these waypoints,” “enter radio silence mode,” or “arm munitions.”
• Robotics Business Lines — These teams own specific Anduril robots end-to-end, as well as individual pieces of hardware on those robots.

RAIL bridges the gap between Mission Autonomy and diverse sets of hardware by creating common hardware interfaces. To allow Anduril to effortlessly integrate with new hardware. RAIL enables Anduril to scale and deploy ambitious new robot designs on short timelines by leveraging learnings and investments from our existing portfolio of diverse hardware and products.

For example, Anduril procures autopilots from a multitude of different hardware vendors. Each autopilot has a subtly different hardware interface — some use MAVLINK, some use STANAG, others use bespoke vendor-specific serial interfaces. Despite having different interfaces, they all provide standard functionality that flies along a set of waypoints.

As an author of advanced mission behavior, I shouldn’t care whether my autopilot speaks MAVLINK or STANAG — I just want my vehicle to get flying. RAIL abstracts away these subtle hardware differences from Mission Autonomy by providing a shared, common interface as a layer between Mission Autonomy and low-level hardware integrations. RAIL also provides other valuable features such as hardware custody management and access-control semantics, shared-memory IPC approaches and flexible observability plugins, to name a few.

RAIL is uniquely situated within Anduril. • Architect and implement AWS GovCloud infrastructure that meets CMMC Level 2 requirements and prepares us for certification.

The Platform Security Engineering (PSE) team builds security into Anduril's products from architecture through production. We're looking for senior and staff-level software engineers to design and build security solutions across Anduril's product ecosystem. We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our growing team during its formative stage. In this position, you will help shape how Anduril engineers build and deliver web software. You will contribute to designing and implementing foundational web frameworks to interact with Lattice OS services. Your work will span multiple technical domains as you identify friction points and craft elegant solutions to improve our development infrastructure. This role requires a solid foundation in web technologies, efficient front-end data structures, and the ability to optimize communication with the back-end. WHAT YOU’LL DO

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent industry experience
• Experience building production web applications in JavaScript or TypeScript (we use TypeScript, React, and RxJS)
• Proficiency with modern backend programming languages such as C++, Rust, or Golang.
• Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, automated testing, and other technical tools

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's TRS Simulation team owns the ecosystem, frameworks, and guidance that make simulation possible, repeatable, and scalable across the Tactical Recon & Strike business line. We don't just run sims, we define what it means for a simulation to be trustworthy. Our team operates across four pillars: Sim Infrastructure, Sim Fidelity, Sim Integrations, and Training Simulations, supporting products like Altius, Ghost, Bolt, and Anvil from early development through field deployment. Every fidelity improvement, every validated model, and every simulation environment we deliver directly determines whether autonomous systems are ready to fly real missions.

Our vision is one simulation framework that serves every product and every deployment target, from a developer's laptop through CI pipelines, operator training environments, and large-scale HPC Monte Carlo campaigns. The same declarative workspace definition can be composed, extended, and deployed wherever simulation is needed, so teams spend their time on mission problems instead of reinventing infrastructure.

THE ROLE

This role is for someone who loves going deep on a problem. You'll identify where simulated components diverge from real-world behavior at the system level, work with our functional teams who own those subsystems to understand what a better model looks like, then own the integration, optimization, and validation within our simulation framework. The cycle is: analyze the gap, understand the domain, engineer the solution into the framework, and prove the fidelity improvement with data. The problems are genuinely complex, multi-physics, multi-rate, spanning both real-time and faster-than-real-time execution for large-scale Monte Carlo campaigns, and the feedback loop is measured in months, not years: your improvements are validated against real flight data and deployed to operational systems on a cadence that keeps pace with product development.

You are expected to quickly develop working knowledge of the domains you touch (sensors, comms, navigation, environment, autonomy interfaces) and become an effective partner to our teams that own those subsystems. You'll care about performance characteristics, numerical stability, integration correctness, and building the validation tooling that makes fidelity measurable and repeatable. Whether your background is in industry or academia, what matters is demonstrated depth of ownership over complex software systems and the ability to pick up new domains and deliver reliable, performant software within them. You will own your solutions from design through delivery and long-term maintenance, with the support and collaboration of our team behind you. At the senior level, we expect you to operate across the full breadth of the simulation stack and help shape our team's technical direction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Analyze simulated subsystems within the framework to identify where system-level behavior diverges from real-world data, quantifying gaps and their downstream impact on simulation trustworthiness.
• Partner with functional engineering teams (flight dynamics, perception, guidance, comms) who own subsystem models to understand requirements, integrate their higher-fidelity models into the simulation framework, and validate the integration through statistical analysis.
• Engineer framework-level solutions that enable higher-fidelity models to run efficiently, addressing performance constraints, timing coordination, and numerical integration concerns.
• Build and maintain validation tooling and benchmarks that make fidelity measurable: automated comparison against real-world data, regression detection, and acceptance threshold enforcement.
• Design and run Monte Carlo validation campaigns to verify that fidelity improvements hold across parameter sweeps and edge cases, not just nominal conditions.
• Work across faster-than-real-time simulation and software-in-the-loop (SITL) environments, understanding the performance and fidelity trade-offs at each tier.
• Identify opportunities where industry-standard or academic approaches could improve our simulation strategy, and coordinate with the appropriate domain teams to evaluate and adopt them.
• At the senior level: drive cross-cutting fidelity strategy across the simulation stack, mentor other engineers, and represent the fidelity team's technical perspective in cross-functional design reviews.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a systems language (C++, Rust) and an analysis/scripting language (Python, MATLAB).
• Experience with performance analysis and optimization of complex software systems (profiling, bottleneck identification, latency reduction, computational efficiency).
• Comfort with numerical and scientific computing concepts (integration methods, statistical analysis).
• Demonstrated ability to take deep ownership of a system end-to-end: understand it, identify problems, design solutions, implement them, and validate the results with data.
• Experience building or maintaining automated test/validation infrastructure that enforces correctness over time.
• Track record of working effectively across team boundaries, particularly with domain experts whose systems you need to understand and integrate with.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Air Dominance & Strike team at Anduril develops aerial and multi-domain robotic systems. The team is responsible for taking products like Fury (unmanned fighter jet) and Barracuda (air-breathing cruise missile) from concept to product. The team also develops Lattice for Mission Autonomy, Anduril’s premier software platform that enables masses of Fury, Barracuda, and other first and third party robots to collaborate across various missions. We work in close coordination with specialist teams like Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. We are looking for software engineers and roboticists excited about creating a powerful autonomy software stack that includes computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Write and maintain core libraries and services that perform critical functions for collaborative teams of robots - for example, motion deconfliction and contingency management of fast mover air vehicles.
• Own major feature development and rollout of large, complex features for our products - recent examples include developing terminal-phase autonomy for various air vehicles and developing a test plan on live surrogates.
• Work closely with Anduril and 3rd party vehicle hardware teams, as well as operational subject matter experts (fighter pilots, UAV operators, etc.) to align on requirements during product development and iterate towards a final design.

The Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. The team is responsible for taking products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt and Altius from paper sketches to operational systems. We work in close coordination with specialist teams to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. We are looking for software engineers, hardware engineers, roboticists, and front-end mobile developers who are excited about creating a powerful robotics platform that can be tasked and viewed in real-time through a variety of interfaces.

As a Staff Software Engineer - Security , you will take ownership of and enhance the security roadmap for TRS products and software services, working closely with engineering teams to create solutions that not only meet but exceed industry-standard security goals. You will engage with various teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in designs, implementations, integrations, and processes, while also designing and developing security software for embedded systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering with a focus on platform security, enabling them to conduct complex security architecture reviews, research and mitigate exploits targeting hardware and software, and implement critical features in collaboration with engineering teams to build resilient products.

Anduril Engineers in the Connected Warfare (CW) Division work across disciplines to build, deploy, integrate, extend, and scale Anduril's software and hardware systems to deliver mission-critical capabilities to our customers at the tactical edge. As the engineers closest to customers/end-users, ECC Tactical Network Engineers are designed to solve technical challenges of operational scenarios while owning the end-to-end delivery of new capabilities from zero to one.

As a Tactical Network Engineer on the Edge Compute and Comms (ECC) Engineering team, you will combine industry-leading commercial communications technologies with legacy military radio systems to rapidly prototype and create new products and solutions to address a wide variety of customer problems involving software, hardware, networking, autonomy/robotics, systems integration, and more, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs along the way. Your efforts will ensure that Anduril and third-party products seamlessly work together to achieve a variety of critical outcomes.

• Integrate emerging networking capabilities, bringing new hardware and software products into the Menace family of systems
• Contribute to networking requirements decomposition across cross-functional teams, helping define success in the face of ambiguity
• Design network topologies and configurations decomposed from complex design reference missions (DRMs) involving large scale unmanned systems and forward-deployed C2 systems

We're seeking an Senior Security Engineer, Offensive Security to grow Anduril's offensive security practice within our Product Security organization. The ideal candidate has a background in software or systems engineering and has pivoted to product or offensive security. They will be able to conduct complex security architecture reviews, understand modern threats and exploits against both hardware and software, and are capable of working hand in hand with engineering teams to build resiliency into Anduril products.

Additionally, you have a solid understanding of AI/ML core concepts (e.g., feature extraction, supervised vs. unsupervised learning, regression, classification, clustering, deep learning neural networks, NLP, LLMs, SLMs, model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG) and hands-on experience developing (Gen)AI-enhanced applications or services.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead the development of prototypes to demonstrate advanced concepts in areas like autonomous and multi-agent systems, GenAI, advanced data analytics, quantum computing/sensing/networking/comms/machine learning, modeling, simulation, optimization, visualization, next-gen human-machine interfaces, heterogenous computing, and cybersecurity.
• Own the entire Software Development Lifecycle from inception through development, testing, deployment, and documentation for Anduril Labs-developed software prototypes.
• Interface and collaborate with other Anduril and customer engineering teams, and strategic partners.
• Support Anduril- and customer-funded R&D efforts.
• Participate in field experiments and technology demonstrations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of programming with Python, C++, Java, Rust, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven software architecture and design skills.
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases.
• AI/ML development using commercial and open-source AI frameworks, models, and tools (e.g., Jupyter Notebook, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama, LangChain, YOLO, AWS Sagemaker, Bedrock, Azure AI, RAG).
• Web app development (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
• Cloud development (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Data modeling and wrangling.
• Networking basics (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP vs. UDP, socket communications, LDAP, Active Directory)
• Database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Graph DB, Vector DB).
• API development and integration (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
• Containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Software development on Linux and Windows.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience using GenAI tools (e.g., OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Gemini Code Assist, GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, or similar) for software development, code generation, debugging, and algorithmic exploration.
• Experience with Git version control, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of software testing principles and practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance
