MongoDB Technical Services Engineers use their exceptional problem solving and customer service skills, along with their deep technical experience, to advise customers and to solve their complex MongoDB problems. Technical Service Engineers are experts in the entire MongoDB ecosystem - database server, drivers, cloud and infrastructure. This also includes services such as Atlas (database as a service), or Cloud Manager (which helps customers with automation, backup and monitoring of their MongoDB systems). Our engineers combine their MongoDB expertise with passion, initiative, teamwork and a great sense of humor to achieve exceptional results for our customers.

MongoDB is on a mission to change the way people think about databases. Along the way, our customers and partners encounter questions and issues about how our approach to databases works for their use case. In Technical Services, it's our job to help these people.
You'll be working alongside our largest customers and partners, solving their complex issues - resolving questions on architecture, performance, recovery, security, and everything in between.
You'll be an expert resource on standard methodologies in running MongoDB at scale, whatever that scale may be. You'll be an advocate for customers' and partners’ needs - working with our product management and development teams on their behalf.
You'll contribute to internal projects, including software development of support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics. Externally, you will work with many of MongoDB's top ISV partners and ensure excellence for our joint customers.
In addition, you will also be responsible for mentoring and ramping new team members and taking initiatives in building knowledge of new product lines within the MongoDB ecosystem.

This role sits at the intersection of AI engineering and application development. You’ll build customer-facing features from scratch, while also helping us integrate and scale the AI infrastructure that power them. You're deeply fluent in TypeScript and React, strong enough on the backend to own a feature end-to-end, and have meaningful experience building AI applications. You craft fast, polished, reliable software and you're drawn to problems that are genuinely unsolved.
We're looking for full stack engineers and those who lean more towards frontend.
Full stack. You understand applied AI well past the API layer: building systems that stay reliable when the model is unpredictable, writing evals that surface real signal, designing agentic workflows that hold up under production conditions. You've shipped RAG, tool calling, memory, or multi-agent patterns to real users and you know where each one breaks down.
Frontend. You notice things other engineers don't. The easing curve that's slightly off. The transition that happens too fast to register. The empty state that was clearly an afterthought. In a product where AI does most of the heavy lifting, the interface is where trust is built or broken — and you hold that line. You've built design systems from the ground up and have a point of view on motion, interaction, and what makes an AI-generated surface feel considered rather than random.
Features that are fast, reliable, and polished. Architectural and interaction decisions that make the next thing faster to build. You raise the bar for the people working alongside you.
Your works speaks louder than your resume. We want to see how you think, what you've made, and how you work with AI. Our application asks for three things:
1. A Loom video (2-3 minutes)
Tell us who you are, what you're working on or have recently built, and how AI is a core part of how you work. Don't script it. We want to see how you think out loud.
2. Something you've built or designed
A link, a side project, a campaign. Anything that shows what you're capable of making. One strong example beats ten weak ones.

We are a Vancouver-based company and candidates need to be based in Canada. Remote is fine - you can expect travel to Vancouver once per quarter (minimum) to work in-office with the team.
Compensation is $180,000–$225,000 CAD base plus equity, for Vancouver-based candidates. Actual salary takes experience, location, and other factors into account.

At Digs, you won't be working on throwaway sandbox projects. We expect you to hit the ground running and ship real production code from day one. This is a greenfield opportunity: we have a solid foundation in place but no dedicated QA team, so you'll have real autonomy to shape how testing works at Digs. Your primary focus will be on test automation, but you'll also contribute across the full stack.

Write and maintain end-to-end tests using Playwright, covering critical user workflows across desktop and mobile.
Expand test coverage into untested areas — new features, edge cases, error scenarios, and multi-user workflows.
Build and maintain Page Object Models, test fixtures, and reusable test utilities that make it easy for the rest of the team to write reliable tests.
Monitor and reduce test flakiness, improving the signal-to-noise ratio in our CI pipeline.
Improve test data management — building factories, seeders, and isolation patterns that keep tests fast and reliable.
Adopt and help shape our agentic coding practices — our team embraces tools like Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code to accelerate development.
Researching, evaluating, and integrating emerging AI-powered testing tools and frameworks.
Designing and implementing visual regression testing to catch unintended UI changes before they ship.
Optimizing our CI/CD test pipeline — improving parallelization, execution time, and failure reporting.
Contributing to frontend and backend feature work, bringing a testing mindset to every feature you touch.
You recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field (or have equivalent practical experience) and are looking for a runway to transition into a full-time role.
You are passionate about software quality and find satisfaction in catching bugs before users do.
You have coursework or project experience writing automated tests of any kind — unit, integration, or end-to-end.
You think critically about how software can break, not just how it should work, and naturally consider edge cases, race conditions, and failure modes.
You are a self-starter who is comfortable charting your own path — this role won't have a QA manager handing your test plans, so you'll need to identify what to test and how.
You are a highly collaborative, self-motivated communicator who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership of your work without waiting for instructions, and isn't afraid to say "I don't know yet" while moving fast.
You are comfortable participating in virtual meetings and in-person collaboration at our Vancouver, WA HQ
Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or other end-to-end testing frameworks.
Experience with React, TypeScript, or Node.js in a project or coursework setting.

This internship position is set to begin in April 2026 and will last 12 weeks, with a commitment of approximately 30 hours per week. The compensation ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. The internship will be hybrid, with in-person and remote components, conducted at our Vancouver, WA headquarters and via platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom. We will provide all necessary equipment, including a laptop, to ensure you have everything needed to succeed in this role.

Integrate Digs with third-party software platforms in the construction ecosystem, building the connective tissue between our product and the tools our customers already use.
Build interactive canvas and document viewing experiences using Fabric.js, including annotation tools and measurement overlays.
