The User Experience team at Roku is comprised of UX designers, researchers, and writers working collaboratively with our world-class Product and Engineering teams to meet customer needs for a Roku experience that delivers simplicity and delight.
About the Role
Roku is looking for a UX Product Designer with strong interaction design skills to drive improvements to our Premium Subscription services within The Roku Channel, with an initial focus on migrating our standalone Frndly TV live TV streaming service into our Premium Subscriptions experiences. This design work will involve UX for browsing and searching for shows, live TV guide integration, merchandising, subscription flows, playback, and more, with a strong focus on collaboration with other UX designers working in these areas.
The Roku Channel currently offers more than 50 premium subscription services – including Paramount+, HBO Max, and Discovery+ -- with more coming every quarter. Each features a consistent user interface to help customers enjoy their entertainment across multiple subscriptions in one place.
For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $185,000 and $210,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. What You’ll be Doing
- Work closely with product managers and business stakeholders to identify the problems, business goals, and user outcomes that your designs will address
- Design features for Premium Subscription services within The Roku Channel, with an initial focus on our Frndly live TV streaming platform, so that they collectively create a consistent, seamless, easy-to-use experience for customers to subscribe to and watch their favorite shows
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and developers throughout the project lifecycle
- Partner with experienced User Researchers to gain insight on user needs, and to determine and execute the ideal research methodology to evaluate your designs
- Collaborate with other UX designers responsible for features related to browsing, searching, playback, live TV Guide, sign-up flows, and more
- Own your designs and communicate effectively, articulating your design decisions to colleagues from diverse disciplines
- Give and receive feedback in regular design critiques with your peers and during formal design reviews with UX management

About the Role
Roku is looking for a talented, well-rounded Senior UX Product Designer who can create useful and easy-to-use streaming experiences. For this role, we need a senior designer with extensive experience on consumer-facing products. This person is both a thinker and a maker - someone that is comfortable with thinking about customer value while still maintaining a command of design details. We want someone who is fluent whether speaking with designers, product managers, or engineers, with a track record of driving concepts all the way to launch. This person is focused on design excellence and is thoughtful about delivering design solutions that create engagement. The ideal candidate will have a track record of creating impactful experiences in the streaming industry. This person must be an independent operator, able to push projects forward on their own, while still proactively seeking stakeholder feedback and approvals. They should be pragmatic and guided by UX principles and frameworks for building robust and functional products. The candidate should demonstrate confidence in their approach while carefully assessing tradeoffs to make informed decisions. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, remain flexible, and manage through change, while being comfortable with ambiguity, is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Explore design directions, analyzing the pros and cons of each, to arrive at creative, thoughtful design solutions
- Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, mockups, specs, and/or lightweight prototypes
- Provide and receive feedback in regular design critiques with peers, cross-functionals in the core team of the projects, and leadership
- Balance qualitative and quantitative data to make user-centered design decisions

What You’ll Be Doing
- Design product visual experiences. Create high-quality visual and UI design for OKX products — spanning trading, wallet, payments, and social features. Own the visual execution of key product surfaces, from concept through to pixel-perfect delivery. Balance beauty with clarity in a domain where trust and usability are non-negotiable.
- Contribute to visual systems. Work within and contribute to OKX's visual systems — shared illustration styles, motion tokens, color systems, iconography, and layout patterns. Your work should strengthen the system, not create one-off exceptions. Think in terms of reusable, scalable assets, not just deliverables.
- Use AI tools in your design workflow. Actively integrate AI into your daily practice — using generative tools for ideation, exploration, variation, and asset production. You're expected to experiment with AI-assisted workflows and bring what works back to the team. This is a core part of how we work, not an optional extra.
- Bridge brand and product. Translate brand direction into in-product visual experiences. Work with the Brand Design team to ensure that visual identity is consistent from marketing to core product — same palette, same sensibility, same quality bar.
- Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner with product designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure visual design decisions are grounded in user needs and technically feasible. Participate in design reviews, give and receive critique constructively, and communicate your rationale clearly.
- Pitch and present. Propose creative concepts to team leads and stakeholders. Articulate the reasoning behind visual choices — not just what you designed, but why it's the right solution for the user and the brand.
What We Look For In You

4–6 years of experience in visual design or UI design, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong craft, attention to detail, and modern design sensibility across digital products. Mobile-first experience is essential.

Fluency with AI design tools — you actively use tools like Midjourney, DALL·E, Figma AI features, or similar generative tools in your design workflow for ideation, exploration, and production. You don't just know about them; you use them to work faster and think wider.

Strong visual craft — typography, color, composition, layout, and a keen eye for detail. You deliver pixel-perfect work and care about the micro-interactions and polish that separate good from great.

Experience contributing to or working within design systems — you understand tokens, components, and how individual design decisions connect to a larger visual language.

We are looking for 0 to 1 Software Engineers to join an elite team that is building out Archer’s Airline Operations Software Ecosystem. Engineers who have built and shipped multiple products across disciplines and languages are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do:
- Build Great Software: Take product requirements and turn them into beautiful, reliable, and high quality web and mobile applications
- Create and manage backend infrastructure including building database schemas, API architecture, orchestration services, and refining architecture
- Product Development: Lead end-to-end technical execution and receive full ownership of the software development lifecycle
- System Architecture: Design and implement the architecture and tech stack that will serve as the backbone for our platform while balancing scalability, speed, and reliability
Contribute to the Roadmap: Ideate, plan, and prototype technical tools for aircraft performance and dispatch settings - Work Cross-Functionally: Work with design, data science, and technical aviation experts to supercharge the features and products you are working on

What You Need:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Product Designer to join Archer’s Design Studio in support of our in-house Product Development team, to design digital interfaces, internal facing desktop tools. You will play a pivotal role in designing innovative features and products critical for our manufacturing and aircraft assembly efforts. Your work will shape intuitive, impactful, and scalable user experiences that align with our mission to build the future of advanced aviation.
You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders on our Business Systems team to design and develop interfaces that improve our manufacturing assembly line. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating intuitive solutions that will deliver our desired brand experience. They will collaborate proactively with other designers, engineers, and product users, gathering qualitative and quantitative data to make informed, human-centric design decisions. They should be proficient at converting requirements into practical product features that reduce confusion, increase engagement, and deliver delightful experiences.
The top priority is to keep the state of designs ready for development at least a sprint ahead of front-end engineers, when possible, and supporting them through phases of implementation (from “MVP” and beyond) to ensure ease and accuracy of development, as well as address unforeseen edge-cases that may arise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate regularly with engineers, designers, product managers, and key stakeholders to deeply understand requirements, manage expectations, and conduct design reviews at least weekly to hand off finished designs ready for development, and perhaps more importantly, present unfinished work in progress to receive early commentary across the team.
- Translate complex requirements and concepts into intuitive user flows with polished, on-brand interfaces working within and contributing towards our design system, across all platforms necessary, including cross functional landing pages used across engineering and manufacturing disciplines to shop floor operators for data inputs and execution of tasks and works instruction, to ensure consistency across products and features while enabling tighter iteration cycles and faster implementation time for Engineering.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design specs to support rapid engineering iteration and validation through proof-of-concept demos.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to refine PRD’s, shaping product strategy, conduct user research and define usability testing targets to validate designs and incorporate feedback. Stay updated on manufacturing industry trends, user needs, and share these learnings with the team to inform and justify design decisions.
- Partner with Front-end Developers to proactively express design intention, understand technical limitations, and ensure seamless implementation of designs maintaining quality and functionality. Ensure visual UI quality and UX accuracy is being met across all browsers and devices as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years in a senior or staff-level Designer role, with a well-rounded “Digital product design” portfolio with result-driven case studies.
- Proven track record designing SaaS products and complex technical interfaces, ideally for enterprise customers.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe, Claude Code, Claude Design, etc.) and producing high fidelity, on-device prototypes.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams, particularly in AI or data-driven environments.
- Strong understanding of user research, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Familiarity with AI products and technologies and manufacturing industry or enterprise SaaS, and ability to work with enterprise systems like Siemens’ Opcenter, SAP, Mendix, etc. which have established systems design and constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience).

You Will:
- You will be the driving visual force for marketing our product, crafting high-converting landing pages, campaign hubs, and engaging digital assets.

You have:
- 5+ years in a web design or digital design role, with a portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, layout, and data-focused design.

What You’ll Do:
As a BMS Electrical Engineer, you will own hardware designs for Archer’s high voltage battery management system.
- Lead design of BMS PCBAs, through their full lifecycle - including circuit simulation, schematic capture, layout, routing, reviews, manufacturing, and revisions.
- Work closely with mechanical and software teams, from the beginning of the design process, to ensure that our BMS hardware seamlessly integrates into the battery pack.
- Design circuits for diagnostic coverage, redundancy, and fault-tolerance - working closely with systems and safety teams to ensure that our BMS hardware meets safety goals.
- Own PCBA bring-up and verification, working hands-on with lab equipment to check that the design functions across all operating conditions and fault injection cases.
- Support software development related to new circuits and revisions, updating and authoring interface documents as needed.
- Coordinate builds with PM team, DFM team, supply chain team, and quality team.
- Support production & manufacturing needs, including design-for-test, root-cause analysis of failures, component traceability, and build process development.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of the battery pack with other electrical systems on the aircraft.
- Work with BMS integration, software, and controls engineers to facilitate hardware fault injection tests on HILs and packs.
What You Need:
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience designing and verifying complex electrical circuits.
- Experience with high voltage battery systems and BMS electronics.
- Experienced in Altium Designer and circuit simulation tools such as LTSpice.
- Detailed knowledge of PCB design rules including IPC-610 / 2221 / 2222.

As a Staff DFM Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) are optimized for manufacturability, reliability, and scalability in our revolutionary eVTOL aircraft. You'll be the bridge between design and production, driving manufacturing excellence while supporting Archer's mission to transform urban transportation.
What you’ll do:
- Lead PCBA manufacturing strategy for eVTOL applications, establishing scalable build processes from prototype to mass production.
- Qualify and verify manufacturing partners, evaluating technical capabilities, quality systems, and production capacity for both quick-turn prototypes and high-volume manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain DFM standards, creating comprehensive procedures, checklists, and best practices for rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCB designs.

- Collaborate with eCAD librarians to develop component footprints that meet DFM requirements and manufacturing constraints.

OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer to join Archer’s Design Studio in support of our in-house Product Development team, to design digital interfaces across mobile and desktop, internal and external facing. You will play a critical role in designing innovative features and products, ranging from internal proof-of-concept demos to customer-facing SaaS solutions for airline industry customers. Your work will shape intuitive, impactful, and scalable user experiences that align with our mission to deliver the future of cutting-edge airline solutions.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop Apps that meet customers' needs. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating intuitive solutions that will deliver our desired brand experience. They will collaborate proactively with other designers, engineers, and product stakeholders, using qualitative and quantitative data to make informed, design-related decisions. They should be proficient at converting requirements into practical product features aiming at delivering fluid and immersive App experiences.
The top priority is to keep the state of designs ready for development at least a sprint ahead of front-end engineers, when possible, and supporting them through phases of implementation (from “MVP” and beyond) to ensure ease and accuracy of development, as well as address unforeseen edge-cases that often arise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate regularly with engineers, designers, product managers, and key stakeholders to deeply understand requirements, manage expectations, and conduct design reviews at least weekly to hand off finished designs ready for development, and perhaps more importantly, present unfinished work in progress to receive early commentary across the team.
- Translate complex requirements and concepts into intuitive user flows with polished, on-brand interfaces working within and contributing towards our design system, across all platforms, to ensure consistency across products and features while enabling tighter iteration cycles and faster implementation time for Engineering.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design specs to support rapid engineering iteration and validation through proof-of-concept demos.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to refine PRD’s, shaping product strategy, conduct user research and define usability testing targets to validate designs and incorporate feedback. Stay updated on airline industry trends, user needs, and share these learnings with the team to inform and justify design decisions.
- Partner with Front End Developers to proactively express design intention, understand technical limitations, and ensure seamless implementation of designs maintaining quality and functionality. Work closely with QA Manager to ensure visual UI quality and UX accuracy is being met across all browsers and devices as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years in a senior or staff-level Designer role, with a well-rounded “Digital product design” portfolio with result-driven case studies
- Proven track record designing SaaS products and complex technical interfaces, ideally for enterprise customers.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe, etc.) and producing high fidelity, on-device prototypes.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams, particularly in AI or data-driven environments.
- Strong understanding of user research, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Familiarity with AI products and technologies and airline industry or enterprise SaaS is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, taking feedback into immediate consideration with zero-ego.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Our unique product offering presents entirely new experiences both for the rider and the team of operators managing our systems.
