The Role

We are currently seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure to join the AI Platform team that powers seamless insights and interaction through natural language and data intelligence across our AI products.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll architect, build, and operate the backend and platform systems that power AI Platform. You’ll work across service design, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, event-driven processing, observability, CI/CD, and production reliability, helping shape the technical direction of a platform that supports scalable, client-facing AI experiences.

This role requires a strong software engineering foundation combined with deep infrastructure and systems thinking. The Role

The Senior SDET - Browser & Extension Testing will own test strategy, quality architecture, and the automated regression infrastructure for Securly's onboard filtering project — building the test systems that ensure a safety-critical Chrome extension works correctly for millions of students and keeps working through every browser update and policy change.

The onboard filtering project is a high-risk architecture change to a widely-deployed extension. A regression in allow/block decision logic, cache invalidation, or bypass prevention could expose students to inappropriate content or disrupt school operations. About the Role

The Role

As part of the broader Data organization, the Data Onboarding team ensures clients have a seamless experience connecting their accounts from various financial institutions to Addepar. The Role

Addepar has just launched an Alternatives Product offering that gives Addepar clients the option to have their Private Funds data extracted, processed, validated, and ingested directly from Private Fund documents for a more automated end-to-end solution for handling Alternatives on the platform. As a Data Engineer, your role involves crafting and maintaining robust data pipelines, utilising Python and SQL, to ensure efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Data Pipeline Development: Building and optimising data pipelines to facilitate seamless data flow across systems and platforms.
• Database Management: Managing databases, ensuring their integrity, and implementing data storage and retrieval solutions.
• Cloud Services Integration: Leveraging cloud services such as MS Azure, GCP, and AWS to architect and deploy scalable data solutions.

As a Data Analyst, your key responsibilities revolve around utilizing Python and SQL
for data manipulation and analysis, coupled with leveraging visualization tools such
as Tableau, PowerBI, and Web Applications to present insights effectively. Your
primary duties include:

Data Analysis: Employing Python and SQL to extract, clean, and analyze data to derive actionable insights.
Visualization Techniques: Using Tableau, PowerBI, and Web Applications to create intuitive and insightful visual representations of data for effective
communication.

The Foundation team at Druva is responsible for designing a highly performant and scalable cloud file system on the Druva cloud in AWS.  This file system is used to back up billions of files per day, translating to millions of metadata requests per second across regions. To build this petabyte-scale, distributed, services-oriented cloud file system, various key concepts like file system metadata, versioning, and eventual consistency are used along with leveraging various AWS services like S3, DDB, and Kinesis. A purpose-built key-value store is used for managing these metadata requests.  While the core file storage engine provides the backup storage for all the Druva products, allied components like the indexing engine, key-value store, and big data pipeline provide scalable search, analytics, and compliance services. The team diligently keeps track of newer services, storage tiers, and various aspects of existing AWS services to take advantage of the continuous evolution of services and use them effectively in the background.

As a Sr. Software Engineer in the filesystem team, you will be providing technical ownership to create high-quality software by owning the design and implementation of features within the filesystem. This role will require excellent communication skills as you will collaborate with architects and other senior engineers to refine requirements, and other product owners to drive features to completion with good quality. 

Some of the key areas the team is working on 

• Improving resiliency of the filesystem with periodic incremental consistency checks, both for petabytes of metadata and hundreds of petabytes of data residing in the cloud.  Metadata versioning and change tracking.
• Third-party secondary storage appliance integration for data centre data protection.
• Extend the filesystem to store a variety of workloads beyond files/folders, e.g., emails and messages
• Optimise the filesystem for cost using  strategies and algorithms to reduce cloud cost  (eg. leveraging cheaper cloud storage tiers and reducing IO requests)
• Develop tools that help debug production issues more efficiently

Key Skill

• 6+ years of experience, preferably in a product company with exposure to storage architectures.
• Strong demonstrable experience in systems programming, especially in multithreading, synchronization, fault tolerance and data consistency at scale.
• Hands-on experience in the design and development of complex products. 
• Extensive hands-on experience in Go/Python/C/C++/Java on Unix/Linux platforms.

A strong understanding of complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures, algorithms, design concepts, and programming practices.

• Experience in working with SoA (Service-oriented Architecture), especially in the service’s backend. 

 Desirable Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS) will be advantageous
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes will be an advantage
• Working knowledge of storage and file systems, including file system consistency checks.
• Hands-on experience using generative AI for codegen

Role and Responsibilities:

• The Sr. Software Engineer's role is to be the technical owner in building enterprise-grade, scalable, performant systems which deliver the required functionality 
• Should be able to design and implement sufficiently large and complex features and/or architectural improvements to the product.
• Suggest and propose solutions to complex design problems.
• Identify areas of engineering improvements to the product and work with product architects and the team to address them.
• Should be able to technically guide junior engineers with feature design and implementation.
• Review the design and implementation done by junior engineers.
• Should be able to independently handle complex escalations and guide others as required.

About the Role:

As a Product Owner at Abacus Insights, you will play a pivotal role in bringing to market a cutting-edge cloud data platform which enables an industry leading data usability for healthcare payers, ultimately enabling them to turn their vast data into insights that drive improved outcomes. This role requires a robust background in software development or data engineering to effectively translate high-level product vision and customer needs into detailed requirements. You will be working collaboratively with engineering and stakeholders from across the organization to ensure the development of features that optimize value and meet customer needs. As a key member of the product team, you will be responsible for managing Abacus products throughout their lifecycle to include opportunity identification, demand intake, roadmap management, requirement development and analysis, story grooming, design reviews, product acceptance, go-to-market, and sunset planning. This role requires a person who can successfully manage across all aspects of product management while keeping focused on delivering true customer ROI and excelling as a technical translator of business need into technical specifications.

Your day to day: 

• Translate the strategic direction set by the Product Manager into specific product features and oversee development of these features efficiently within the agile framework.
• Support engineers comprehensively throughout all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), providing guidance, insights, and assistance as necessary.
• Assume end-to-end responsibility for the lifecycle of product features you own
• Act as the primary translator between business needs and technical requirements, effectively bridging the gap to ensure alignment between stakeholders and engineering teams.

What you bring to the team:

• A deep understanding of data software engineering or a minimum of 3 years of software development or data engineering experience.
• Domain expertise in shipping Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
• Deep domain expertise in cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Skilled in database concepts and tools (preferably on Databricks and Snowflake).
• Deep understanding of the data platform R&D processes and agile methodologies.
• Experience with big data, ETL and data pipelines, security and privacy, DevOps, or automation.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent experience in a technical product owner role or an adjacent position.
• Proven ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute plans in highly technical environments.
