As the Director of Media and Public Relations, you will shape and protect ADF’s public voice. Reporting to the Vice President of Communications and Public Relations (PR), you will lead ADF’s media strategy, oversee the multi-media news division, manage rapid response and crisis communications, and ensure ADF’s messaging is strategic, consistent, and impactful. To deliver each full exercise cycle the JWC relies heavily on an Exercise Control (EXCON) structure. EXCON has both direction and control functions which allow it to establish the conditions needed by the TA to achieve the exercise aim and objectives. The NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) is a NATO establishment focused on improving the Alliance's operational capabilities through training and exercises. Located in Stavanger, Norway, the JWC plays a critical role in preparing NATO forces for future challenges by:
The JWC supports NATO's overall strategic objectives by ensuring that its forces are well-prepared and capable of responding to various global threats and challenges.
The program
To deliver each full exercise cycle the JWC relies heavily on an Exercise Control (EXCON) structure. EXCON staff members are drawn from several backgrounds and units including JWC staff, NATO component commands, Training Audience (TA) Headquarters, Partner Nations and other augmenters’ positions. EXCON has both direction and control functions which allow it to establish the conditions needed by the TA to achieve the exercise aim and objectives. EXCON size and structure is flexible and is shaped to the requirement of each phase of exercise delivery. When it is not possible to fill a position from military sources, the JWC has the option to source a contractor to fill a position. Not all contracted positions are required for each phase of each exercise.

The role
As a Senior Manager, Government Affairs, you'll be a key external leader on our Policy and Government Affairs team. You will be responsible for shaping and executing SoFi's government relations strategy, directly advocating for our priorities with policymakers, and managing a portfolio of relationships with key external organizations. You will work closely with our Senior Manager, Public Policy, who will provide internal policy support and analysis, ensuring our advocacy is well-informed and strategic for the benefits of our members. This role reports to the Director, Policy and Government Affairs.
Direct Advocacy & Government Relations: Serve as SoFi's primary representative leading direct engagement with the U.S. Congress, the Administration, and key staff. This role requires developing and executing sophisticated, targeted advocacy strategies to proactively educate policymakers on SoFi's policy views and legislative priorities.
External Portfolio Management: Act as a liaison and relationship manager on advocacy, overseeing an engagement portfolio that includes key trade associations, think tanks, and consumer advocacy organizations, driving coalition efforts to advance the policy agenda.
External Representation: Serve as a spokesperson for SoFi at legislative and policy-focused events, forums, and conferences. Proactively seek opportunities to promote SoFi’s thought leadership and advocacy goals for the team and our business executives.
Strategic & Political Advisory: Provide high-level, strategic advice and insights to the Policy and Government Affairs team and business teams on the political landscape and legislative developments. This includes summarizing engagements and learnings for internal dissemination and advising the team on political and legislative activities to inform overall strategy.
