This policy explains what personal data JobsRadar (jobs-radar.com, "we", "us") collects when you use the website, our Telegram bot and our social channels, why we collect it, who helps us process it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Questions or requests: [email protected].
1. What JobsRadar is
JobsRadar is a job board. We collect job listings that employers publish on their own public career pages and show them in one searchable place. We are not the employer and we do not handle job applications: when you click "Apply", you leave JobsRadar for the employer's own site, and that site's privacy policy applies to anything you send there.
2. What we collect
Without an account
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser and request details reach our servers and our network provider with every request. We use them to serve the page, to limit request rates and to block abuse and attacks.
- Searches. When you search or filter jobs, we record the search (keywords, location and filters), the date, your IP address and a pseudonymous visitor identifier. We use this to understand what people look for, to improve search and content, and to detect automated abuse.
- Job clicks and views. We count job views, shares and clicks on "Apply". Counters are aggregated per job; apply clicks are de-duplicated per IP address and job.
- Reports and messages. If you report a problem with a job or write to us through the contact form or the Telegram bot, we keep what you send, and the details needed to reply.
- Data stored in your browser. Your theme, your consent choice, dismissed notices and the jobs you have viewed or applied to are kept in your browser's local storage, not on our servers, until you sign in.
With an account
- Account details. Your email address, name and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier.
- Preferences. Language, theme, whether you accept marketing emails, and companies you have hidden.
- Saved searches and alerts. The searches you save and the channels (email, Telegram) you want new matches sent to.
- Job activity. Jobs you viewed, applied to or reported, so we can mark them in your results. When you sign in, the history kept in your browser is copied to your account.
- Telegram link. If you connect Telegram, your Telegram chat ID and username.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service you ask for — your account, saved searches and job alerts (performance of our agreement with you).
- To keep the site working and safe — rate limiting, blocking abusive IP addresses, bot protection and error monitoring (our legitimate interest in security).
- To improve JobsRadar — understanding which searches, pages and jobs are useful, and publishing aggregated job-market statistics that never identify a person (our legitimate interest).
- Analytics — only if you accept the analytics notice (your consent, which you can withdraw).
- Marketing emails — occasional product news, only while you have not opted out. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can switch them off in your profile.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with employers.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
- Strictly necessary: a session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie, which keep you signed in and protect forms. Our network provider may set its own security cookies for bot protection.
- Local storage: the preferences and guest history described above.
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies, set only after you accept analytics.
5. Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each only for its own purpose:
- Hetzner Online — servers and database hosting (Finland, EU).
- Cloudflare — DNS, content delivery, security and bot protection (Turnstile), and forwarding of email sent to our domain.
- Amazon Web Services — sending email (alerts, account emails) and storing company logos.
- Google — "Sign in with Google" and, with your consent, Google Analytics.
- Telegram — delivering bot messages and alerts, if you use Telegram.
- Sentry — error monitoring, which may include technical request data when something breaks.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards they offer, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect JobsRadar and its users from fraud or abuse.
6. How long we keep it
- Account data, saved searches and job activity: for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and the data linked to it.
- Search records, IP addresses and security logs: only as long as they are needed for security and to improve the service, after which they are deleted or reduced to aggregate statistics.
- Contact messages and job reports: as long as needed to handle them.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw any consent you gave. Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account; we reply within 30 days. You can change most settings yourself in your profile, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Our social media pages
We publish job-market posts on Telegram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. When you interact with those pages, the platform's own privacy policy applies. We only see what the platform shows page owners, such as public comments and aggregate page statistics.
9. Children
JobsRadar is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced on the site.
