• Manufacturing Maturation: Transition products from development to production grade manufacturing operations. Identify the key areas that need to develop and improve for each product’s manufacturing processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in advanced composite manufacturing and production environments (e.g., aerospace, defense, automotive, marine), including at least 3 years in a direct leadership or management capacity.
• Demonstrated mastery of ERP and MES systems, coupled with a deep, practical understanding and application of NPI (New Product Introduction) processes, Lean manufacturing principles, and change management (ECOs)
• Ability to transition products from development to production. Experience capturing key shop floor metrics (like OEE) and driving actions to improve them.
• Proven track record of success in employee development, coaching, and mentorship, cultivating high-performing teams.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, combined with superior organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Composite materials and fabrication processes (e.g., pre-preg layup, resin infusion, filament winding, autoclave curing, bonding, machining, pressed composites).
• Exceptional ability to interpret and apply complex technical documentation specific to composites (e.g., engineering drawings with ply schedules, fiber orientation, material specifications, cure cycles, vacuum bagging procedures, work instructions) to effectively troubleshoot composite manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.

Anduril’s Manufacturing team is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to join our Composites Manufacturing team in North Carolina. This team engineers the manufacturing solution to turn designs into prototypes rapidly, and subsequently transitions composites manufacturing projects from development into full-rate production. In this role, you will use industrial engineering tools and skills to increase efficiency and quality of each manufacturing line in concert with its production plan. You will leverage a data-driven approach to design and improve production lines and manufacturing processes. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Produce and maintain capacity models, balanced line layouts, and production ramp plans to define labor planning, capex requirements, workstation design, and throughput gaps
• Design effective facility layouts and production lines using CAD and simulation which meet process requirements, enable production targets, optimize resource allocation and material flow, and maximize productivity and quality, both for low rate and full rate production
• Identify and champion improvements to key causes of high variability or production bottlenecks, driving actions to resolution across disciplines and stakeholders
• Translate and drive action from metrics, KPIs, and reporting associated with monitoring production line health and efficiency, such as cycle time, throughput rate, capacity, utilization, and first pass yield

• Lead the design of production lines and workstations for both low-rate and full-rate production using techniques like Value Stream Mapping, Time Studies, and Line Balancing

• Interfacing with vendors/suppliers for equipment specifications and RFQs
• Development and alignment of standards across sites at Anduril to enable scalability

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering
• 5+ years past experience in a high-rate manufacturing environment where complex products were built with heavy data utilization
• Factory and/or production line design and set up - Value Stream mapping, Flow lines, continuous flow, one piece flow, workstation design, PFMEA
• Material Flow Systems - designing how material flows around a facility, pull systems, Kanban, min/max calculations, Part presentation to operator, Tote bin packaging, lineside racking
• Digital Systems - experience with Siemens "Plant Simulation", "Process Simulation" software to model a production line and run production scenarios (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to completely own a value chain from start to finish, coordinating among multiple different internal and external parties to achieve on-time deliveries under stringent quality standards
• Experience with ERP, PLM, WMS and MES systems
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles/implementation
• Proficiency creating and interpreting drawings in composite and metallic aerospace parts and assemblies: GD&T, NDT methods and acceptance criteria, process specifications, assembly methods, common hardware

• Prior work designing and/or setting up new production lines or factories - from process mapping through to collaborating with infrastructure design partners and detailed work station design

We are seeking a Head of Supply Chain to lead procurement, subcontracts, material flow, inventory, and warehousing operations across multiple programs. This senior leadership role carries broad responsibility for developing and executing supply chain strategies to fuel Anduril’s rapid growth in composites. Anduril’s Manufacturing team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team to support AeroStructures branch in North Carolina. This Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge aerostructure assemblies, starting from the piece part manufacturing. This role encompasses everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, MBOM Management, Work Instruction creation, Design for Manufacturability work, work cell optimization, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the composite and metallic structures.

The right person for this role can demonstrate experience in composite part manufacturing and overall airframe assembly. This person will also demonstrate the ability to work across multiple functions (Manufacturing Operations, Airframe Design, Quality, Leadership, Supply Chain, etc) to achieve a successful manufacturing approach, flow, and build.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building composite parts and tooling in close conjunction with design engineering release
• Write manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions, MBOMs, quality plans, inspection requirements, non-conformances, while also completing said work instructions, quality plans, and inspections alongside a team of technicians and inspectors
• Work as a conduit between the engineering technical data packages and the technicians to ensure composite hardware and tooling are manufactured as designed/analyzed
• Solve manufacturing problems in schedule-driven environment under the constraints of detailed specifications and requirements to achieve the needed quality, delivered on schedule
• Drive work cell design and optimization to ensure quality and efficiency targets are maintained and managed
• Work with the Program Managers to inform critical decision points to ensure on-time delivery
• Drive RCCAs alongside the quality team to eliminate production blockers and recurring issues

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is responsible for performing maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations of Breeze aircraft, including troubleshooting, performing run-up and taxi procedures, and signing mechanical flight releases.
