WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead Composite Production Operations: Lead and manage a dedicated team of highly skilled technicians in the production of advanced composite structures, ensuring efficient, high-quality manufacturing and timely delivery.
• Drive Production Excellence: Strategically plan and tactically direct monthly production operations to consistently achieve and exceed on-time delivery (OTD) goals and overall production performance targets, with a focus on composite layup, curing, and assembly processes.
• Champion Quality & Safety: Instill a culture of uncompromising quality and safety, rigorously upholding standards unique to composite manufacturing (e.g., material handling, cure cycles, NDT, ply-level inspection), minimizing defects, and fostering a secure, compliant, and pristine work environment.
• Develop & Mentor Talent: Develop and mentor production Leads/Supervisors, providing active coaching and support to cultivate professional growth, enhance leadership skills, and facilitate robust cross-training initiatives.
• Lead Continuous Improvement: Drive and implement Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 6S, Kaizen) and other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize composite manufacturing processes, enhance efficiency, reduce waste (e.g. scrap, rework), and solve complex operational challenges.
• Strategic Communication: Ensure clear and strategic communication of production priorities, progress, potential risks, and resource requirements to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, including close collaboration with the PBP team, fostering a collaborative and informed environment.
• Utilized data-driven analysis and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to strategically direct and optimize advanced composite manufacturing operations for mission-critical structures.
• Manufacturing Maturation: Transition products from development to production grade manufacturing operations. Identify the key areas that need to develop and improve for each product’s manufacturing processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in advanced composite manufacturing and production environments (e.g., aerospace, defense, automotive, marine), including at least 3 years in a direct leadership or management capacity.
• Demonstrated mastery of ERP and MES systems, coupled with a deep, practical understanding and application of NPI (New Product Introduction) processes, Lean manufacturing principles, and change management (ECOs)
• Ability to transition products from development to production. Experience capturing key shop floor metrics (like OEE) and driving actions to improve them.
• Proven track record of success in employee development, coaching, and mentorship, cultivating high-performing teams.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, combined with superior organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Composite materials and fabrication processes (e.g., pre-preg layup, resin infusion, filament winding, autoclave curing, bonding, machining, pressed composites).
• Exceptional ability to interpret and apply complex technical documentation specific to composites (e.g., engineering drawings with ply schedules, fiber orientation, material specifications, cure cycles, vacuum bagging procedures, work instructions) to effectively troubleshoot composite manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Head of Supply Chain to lead procurement, subcontracts, material flow, inventory, and warehousing operations across multiple programs. This senior leadership role carries broad responsibility for developing and executing supply chain strategies to fuel Anduril’s rapid growth in composites. You will be asked to lead cross-functional projects to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.

As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will be in a matrix reporting structure; reporting directly into Morrisville’s Head of Production with dotted line responsibilities into our corporate Supply Chain leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with overall business goals, aiming for supply continuity, quality, efficiency and cost optimization while enabling the business to scale significantly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and drive supplier performance management to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Negotiate (with support as needed from the Global Strategic Sourcing team as needed) complex commercial terms with suppliers directly to establish best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms.
• Collaborate with other supply chain experts across the company to develop and execute supply chain best practices.
• Collaborate internally with key cross functional leadership teams (ex., engineering, program management, finance, business line...etc.) to negotiate the right tradeoffs, solicit cooperation and resolve problems proactively
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track track supply chain health and drive improvements.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and provide regular reports to management on supply chain performance.
• Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, training, and support. Hire world class talent to continue the rapid expansion of the existing team.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to the supply chain, such as disruptions to supply or changes in market conditions.
• Optimize material flow systems including warehousing, material handling, and staging/kitting/delivery processes to support production requirements.
• Conduct make/buy analysis and vertical integration assessments to determine the most effective manufacturing and sourcing strategies.
• Develop innovative inventory solutions and ensure inventory accuracy to balance operational efficiency with program requirements.
• Implement and oversee supply base cost management initiatives to drive value and maintain competitive advantage in the defense sector.
• Support capture teams with supply chain expertise to strengthen bid responses and proposals for new business opportunities.
• Lead strategic source selection processes to identify and qualify suppliers that can meet Anduril's demanding technical and schedule requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership in aerospace & defense, or composites manufacturing
• Strong background in procurement, subcontracts, material planning, and warehouse/inventory operations
• Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements and deliver results on cost, schedule, and quality
• Experience scaling supply chain organizations during high growth or production ramps
• Executive presence with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to travel up to 20%

This team designs and implements the manufacturing solutions to turn designs into prototypes rapidly, and subsequently transition composites manufacturing projects from development into full-rate production. In this role, you will directly manage and oversee execution of one or multiple projects. You will leverage a data-driven approach to project management ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Since manufacturing is the outcome that all other business functions have in common, you will collaborate widely across the organization with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Production, Facilities, and more.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Product Sourcing Engineer drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril’s product hardware across their lifecycles, by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally, including folks in engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging our approved supplier list
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as:
• Concept scoping to quickly solidify requirements
• Feature trade-off / trade tables
• Should cost / Clean sheet models
• Joint design development, via clear statements of work
• Simulation of mechanical & electronics designs

Anduril’s Manufacturing team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team to support AeroStructures branch in North Carolina. This Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge aerostructure assemblies, starting from the piece part manufacturing. This role encompasses everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, MBOM Management, Work Instruction creation, Design for Manufacturability work, work cell optimization, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the composite and metallic structures.

The right person for this role can demonstrate experience in composite part manufacturing and overall airframe assembly. This person will also demonstrate the ability to work across multiple functions (Manufacturing Operations, Airframe Design, Quality, Leadership, Supply Chain, etc) to achieve a successful manufacturing approach, flow, and build.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building composite parts and tooling in close conjunction with design engineering release
• Write manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions, MBOMs, quality plans, inspection requirements, non-conformances, while also completing said work instructions, quality plans, and inspections alongside a team of technicians and inspectors
• Work as a conduit between the engineering technical data packages and the technicians to ensure composite hardware and tooling are manufactured as designed/analyzed
• Solve manufacturing problems in schedule-driven environment under the constraints of detailed specifications and requirements to achieve the needed quality, delivered on schedule
• Drive work cell design and optimization to ensure quality and efficiency targets are maintained and managed
• Work with the Program Managers to inform critical decision points to ensure on-time delivery
• Drive RCCAs alongside the quality team to eliminate production blockers and recurring issues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technology related field

Since manufacturing is the outcome that all other business functions have in common, you will collaborate widely across the organization with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Production, Facilities, and others.

The right person for this role will demonstrate holistic ownership in solving operational challenges with creative solutions in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment. As a Senior level position, you will use your Industrial Engineering skills and expertise to triage and prioritize your projects, you will build plans to reach outcomes, and you will manage and recover your project execution with autonomy and independence while using proper judgement to escalate effectively when required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Produce and maintain capacity models, balanced line layouts, and production ramp plans to define labor planning, capex requirements, workstation design, and throughput gaps
• Design effective facility layouts and production lines using CAD and simulation which meet process requirements, enable production targets, optimize resource allocation and material flow, and maximize productivity and quality, both for low rate and full rate production
• Identify and champion improvements to key causes of high variability or production bottlenecks, driving actions to resolution across disciplines and stakeholders
• Translate and drive action from metrics, KPIs, and reporting associated with monitoring production line health and efficiency, such as cycle time, throughput rate, capacity, utilization, and first pass yield
• Analyze manufacturing health to support decisions impacting Engineering (cut-in dates for new designs), Supply Chain (signals on what to buy), Manufacturing (signals on being clear-to-build and what to build), and Growth (supply overview to drive commitments to demand)

• Factory and/or production line design and set up - Value Stream mapping, Flow lines, continuous flow, one piece flow, workstation design, PFMEA
• Material Flow Systems - designing how material flows around a facility, pull systems, Kanban, min/max calculations, Part presentation to operator, Tote bin packaging, lineside racking
• Digital Systems - experience with Siemens "Plant Simulation", "Process Simulation" software to model a production line and run production scenarios (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to completely own a value chain from start to finish, coordinating among multiple different internal and external parties to achieve on-time deliveries under stringent quality standards
• Experience with ERP, PLM, WMS and MES systems
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles/implementation
• Proficiency creating and interpreting drawings in composite and metallic aerospace parts and assemblies: GD&T, NDT methods and acceptance criteria, process specifications, assembly methods, common hardware
