As our Head of Security, you’ll play a critical role in protecting the trust our customers, partners, and teams place in us every day. Reporting to the CTO and as a member of the IT Leadership Team, you’ll lead the evolution of Prezzee’s security, privacy, and compliance maturity -  embedding security-first thinking across the organisation while delivering practical, commercial outcomes that enable growth.

This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on impact, spanning policy and governance, technology uplift, and day-to-day security operations. Your work will directly support Prezzee’s growth ambitions and position us as a market leader in information security and privacy.

What You’ll Do

Lead Our Security Strategy

• Own and deliver a clear, ongoing security roadmap aligned to Prezzee’s risk appetite, business priorities, and growth plans.
  
  
• Continuously uplift our administrative, technical, and procedural security posture across the business.
  
  
• Stay ahead of emerging threats and evolving standards, ensuring Prezzee remains proactive rather than reactive.

Build a Security-First Culture

• Act as the Security Champion across all teams and locations, embedding security awareness into how we work every day.
  
  
• Partner closely with engineering, product, IT, and the wider business to ensure security is at the forefront of design.
  
  
• Manage and mentor a small, high-performing security team, driving engagement and alignment with Prezzee’s purpose.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Maintain and expand compliance with frameworks and certifications including PCI, ISO:27001, Cyber Essentials+, ISO:42001 and others as required.
  
  
• Chair and manage the ISMS Committee, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of risks, controls, and progress.
  
  
• Lead third-party and vendor security due diligence across tools, partners, and workplace technology.

Operational Security & Incident Management

• Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing outcomes, and remediation within agreed SLAs.
  
  
• Coordinate security incident prevention, detection, and response across internal teams, MSPs, and partners.
  
  
• Create, maintain, and regularly test cyber security response plans and supporting playbooks.

Tools, Technology & AI Governance

• Select, implement, and manage core security tools including WAF, bot detection, PAM, code scanning, and compliance platforms.
  
  
• Establish and manage an AI security governance model that safely supports workplace enablement and customer experience innovation.
  
  
• Ensure AWS environments and system architectures align with security best practices.

Partner with the Business

• Support Sales and GTM teams with customer security questionnaires, audits, and front-line security engagement.
  
  
• Balance strong security outcomes with a pragmatic, commercial mindset that enables business velocity.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  
  
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior cyber security role, ideally within a systems development or technology-led environment.
  
  
• Strong understanding of AWS technologies and modern cloud architecture models.
  
  
• Proven experience delivering strategic security programs, including policy development, risk management, BCP/DR testing, third-party risk, and end-user device security.
  
  
• Hands-on experience triaging, investigating, and resolving security and operational incidents within SLAs.
  
  
• Deep knowledge of modern cyber security principles, threat landscapes, threat intelligence, and remediation techniques.
  
  
• Experience coordinating outcomes across internal teams, external vendors, auditors, and security partners.
  
  
• A collaborative, business-minded approach with the confidence to influence at leadership level.

The Role

The role sits within the Company and Personal Insolvency (CPI) Team, a specialist sub-team within Teneo’s Australian restructuring and insolvency practice. The team supports the administration of a broad range of corporate and personal insolvency appointments, including liquidations, voluntary administrations, receiverships, bankruptcies and restructuring matters. The role provides exposure to the day-to-day management of both new and existing insolvency appointments, including statutory compliance, investigations, stakeholder communication, financial analysis and asset realisation within the Australian insolvency framework.

Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant / Senior Consultant, the primary nature of work that you will get involved with will likely include:

Case Administration and Compliance

• Assisting with the day-to-day administration of corporate and personal insolvency appointments.
• Supporting managers, directors and appointees with case strategy and the progression of matters.
• Maintaining accurate physical and electronic case files in accordance with firm procedures.
• Updating case checklists and statutory diaries.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory lodgements with ASIC and the ATO
• Monitoring and complying with statutory deadlines under the Corporations Act 2001, Bankruptcy Act 1966 and other relevant legislation.

Reporting and Stakeholder Communication

• Preparing reports to creditors and other stakeholders, including progress reports, receipts and payments and estimated outcome statements.
• Drafting reports and updates to secured creditors, where relevant.
• Responding to creditor queries and other correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
• Liaising with directors, insolvent individuals, creditors, solicitors, agents, valuers, and other external stakeholders.
• Assisting with meetings of creditors

Broader Support and Team Contribution

• Attending site and providing ongoing site support to assist with the trading of business subject to insolvency administrations, securing assets, dealing with employee matters and other appointment-specific tasks where required
• Supervising, delegating and reviewing work performed by offshore staff
• Providing regular updates to Insolvency Practitioners, managers and senior staff on case progression and deadlines.
• Ensuring best practice, firm standards and regulatory requirements are reflected in all work performed and written correspondence

Financial, Investigative and Asset Realisation Work

• Conducting statutory searches and reviewing records, bank statements, financial accounts and supporting documentation.
• Assisting with investigations into potential antecedent or voidable transactions, including unfair preferences, uncommercial transactions and insolvent trading.
• Supporting asset identification, recovery and realisation processes.
• Adjudicating on creditor claims, calculating dividends and assisting with creditor distributions.
• Preparing estimated outcome statements and cashflows where required

Key Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 6 months of either corporate or personal insolvency experience gained in a specialist insolvency practice or accounting firm.
• Experience working with case management systems, such as IPS or similar.
• An understanding of the lifecycle of corporate and personal insolvency appointments.
• Familiarity with key statutory requirements, reporting obligations and compliance deadlines under the Australian insolvency framework.
• Strong written communication skills, with experience drafting correspondence, reports and statutory documents.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• The ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise tasks across multiple engagements.
• Strong commercial and risk awareness, including the confidence to identify, escalate and help resolve issues appropriately.
• Good financial analysis skills, including the ability to review and analyse financial statements and bank statements
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with creditors, directors, employees, solicitors, agents and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• A strong, flexible work ethic and a practical, team-oriented approach.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce, business, finance or commercial law.
• Relevant professional qualifications, or progress towards them, such as CPA or CA membership, ARITA Advanced Certification, or equivalent, will be highly regarded
• Experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot etc.) is desirable.

The team will support you to utilise and enhance your advisory skills and experience. You will work alongside some of the most experienced practitioners in the field advising the boards, management teams, lenders and shareholders of companies which are underperforming and/or facing financing issues.  

As a Manager / Associate Director in the team you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of engagements across all sectors, with plenty of responsibility for leading workstreams, managing junior staff and supporting our senior team in client-facing delivery.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Project managing parts of the engagement and appointments, providing support to the director/ managing director (or often directly Senior Managing Director) in managing external stakeholders
• Supporting management teams in preparing and challenging business plans, short term cash flow forecasts and restructuring plans
• Developing, analysing and presenting restructuring options using input from other teams and advisors, e.g. strategy or tax analysis,
• Managing a portfolio of insolvency appointments, engaging with key stakeholders and supporting Insolvency Practitioners to managing appointments
• Liaising with lawyers to understand key aspects of legal documentation and also drive any documentation processes (term sheets, waivers, loan documentation etc.)
• Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution Understanding and actively managing the Company’s risk from take-on through to completion of engagements
• Actively support business development activities, building your own contact network and supporting marketing and sales activities

Key Skills & Experience 

• CA (or equivalent) qualified
• Financial restructuring, insolvency or transaction experience gained either as an advisor within a professional services business, consultancy firm, bank or investment bank.
• An understanding of debt markets, banking, loan agreements and other relevant financial and legal documentation
• Good understanding of the restructuring, insolvency and transaction marketplace, its trends, and key players (principals and advisers)
• Very strong analytical skills, including: short term cash flows, financing options, an understanding of insolvency procedures and practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent reporting writing and financial analysis skills
• Ability to lead small teams and develop people Ability to conduct business in fluent oral and written English
