The Prenatal Account Executive, Southern Indiana (Evansville and Bloomington) is an outstanding prenatal sales executive with experience in diagnostic/genetic testing product sales, who will bring the first and only single-gene NIPT supported carrier and aneuploidy screen to OBGYN clinics & MFMs practices. You will deliver clinical information to both external clients throughout your territory and internal teams. Responsibilities:

• Increasing utilization of UNITY Fetal Risk Screen and driving market development through direct sales to individual OBGYNs, MFMs, and Genetic Counselors

Responsibilities:

The following is an overview of the essential job functions and responsibilities; this may not be an all-encompassing list:

• Prepares exam rooms for patient use by cleaning the rooms between patients and ensuring that each room is stocked with the appropriate supplies. Prepares procedure trays as necessary.

• Disinfects exam rooms and lab and straightens reception area daily.

Prospective candidates should have pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience and a proven track record of success selling to physicians, private clinics, hospitals, and support staff. This position requires about 70% travel.

Carries out social evaluations, including family dynamics, caregiver abilities, communication patterns, high risks for suicide, neglect, or abuse, and plans intervention based on evaluation findings.  Counsels patient and family/caregivers as needed in relationship to stress, and other identified coping difficulties. Provides crisis intervention when necessary. 
3. Assesses for, and educates interdisciplinary groups, on any special needs related to the culture of the patient and family. Includes communication, role of family, space, and any special traditions or taboos. 
4. Maintains clinical records on all patients referred to social work. 
5. Educates patients and families on, and assists in, the preparation of advanced directives. 
6. Provides information and referral services for organization patients and families/caregivers regarding practical and environmental needs. 
7. Provides information to patients and families/caregivers and community agencies.

Job Qualifications: 

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Preferred, One (1) to two (2) years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting, and one (1) to two (2) years of recent experience in home care. 
2. Current licensure in State and CPR certification. 
3. Bachelor’s degree, with one (1) year of hospice care experience preferred. 
4. Management experience is not required.  Responsible for supervising hospice aides. 
5. Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist. 
6. Prolonged or considerable walking or standing.  Able to lift, position, and/or transfer patients.  Able to lift supplies and equipment.  Considerable reaching, stooping bending, kneeling, and/or crouching.  Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills. 
7. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

9. Communicates with the physician regarding the patient's needs and reports changes in the patient's condition; obtains/receives physicians' orders as required.
10. Teaches the patient and family/caregiver self-care techniques as appropriate.  Provides medication, diet and other instructions as ordered by the physician and recognizes and utilizes opportunities for health counseling with patients and families/caregivers.
11. Works in cooperation with the family/caregiver and hospice interdisciplinary group to meet the emotional needs of the patient and family/caregiver.
12. Actively participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities if needed.

5. At least 1 year of experience with Medicare Hospice Certification as well as CHAP guidelines, preferred.

7. Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to learn department and job-specific software systems.

Assesses the psychosocial status of patients and families/caregivers related to the patient's terminal illness and environment and communicates findings to the registered nurse and other members of the interdisciplinary group.  Provides an assessment in the patient's identified residence and assistance when this is not safe, and another plan is required. 
2. Carries out social evaluations, including family dynamics, caregiver abilities, communication patterns, high risks for suicide, neglect, or abuse, and plans intervention based on evaluation findings.  Counsels patient and family/caregivers as needed in relationship to stress, and other identified coping difficulties. Provides crisis intervention when necessary. 
3. Assesses for, and educates interdisciplinary groups, on any special needs related to the culture of the patient and family. Includes communication, role of family, space, and any special traditions or taboos. 
4. Maintains clinical records on all patients referred to social work. 
5. Educates patients and families on, and assists in, the preparation of advanced directives. 
6. Provides information and referral services for organization patients and families/caregivers regarding practical and environmental needs. 
7. Provides information to patients and families/caregivers and community agencies. 
8. Serves as liaison between patients and families/caregivers and community agencies. 
9. Maintains collaborative relationships with organization personnel to support patient care. 
10. Maintains and develops contracts with public and private agencies as resources for patients and personnel. 
11. Participates in the development of the individualized plan of care, involving the patient and family, and attends regularly scheduled interdisciplinary group meetings, assisting the team in recognizing the effects of the psychosocial stresses on the symptoms of the terminal illness.

1. Completes, maintains, and submits accurate and relevant clinical notes regarding the patient’s condition and care given.  Records pain/symptom management changes/outcomes as appropriate. 
2. Communicates with the physician regarding the patient’s needs and reports changes in the patient’s condition; obtains/receives physicians’ orders as required. 
3. Communicate with community health-related persons to coordinate the care plan. 
4. Teach the patient and family/caregiver self-care techniques as appropriate.  Provides medication, diet, and other instructions as ordered by the physician and recognizes and utilizes opportunities for health counseling with patients and families/caregivers.  Works in concert with the interdisciplinary group. 
5. Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient. 
6. Assists the patient's family/caregiver and other team members in providing continuity of care. 
7. Works in cooperation with the family/caregiver and hospice interdisciplinary group to meet the emotional needs of the patient and family/caregiver. 
8. Attends interdisciplinary group meetings.

1. Participates in on-call duties as defined by the on-call policy. 
2. Ensures that arrangements for equipment and other necessary items and services  
   are available. 
3. Supervises ancillary personnel and delegates responsibilities when required.

Job Qualifications: 

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Preferred, One (1) to two (2) years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting, and one (1) to two (2) years of recent experience in home care. 
2. Current licensure in State and CPR certification. 
3. Bachelor’s degree, with one (1) year of hospice care experience preferred. 
4. Management experience is not required.  Responsible for supervising hospice aides. 
5. Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.

Your Role:

As a key member of the sales/commercial team, the Territory Business Manager (TBM) will lead sales at the territory level and serve as the primary liaison between customers and SpringWorks Therapeutics, a healthcare company of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
