PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Occupational Health Nurse oversees employee health case management and coordinates care with providers to support recovery and return to work after injury or illness. Reporting to EHS, this role collaborates with HR, Worker’s Comp, and site leadership. Responsibilities include administering first aid, assessing the need for further care or medical assessment, case management, audiometric scheduling, reviewing respirator medical questionnaire evaluations,  fit-for-duty evaluations, ergonomic assessments, and health education initiatives. The nurse will follow defined occupational health programs and policies. Prior experience in occupational health within manufacturing or field operations is required. Strong clinical judgment, organizational, and documentation skills are essential. This is an on-site role based in Jacksonville.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide medical care, triage for injured/ill employees in the Jacksonville facilities
• Coordinate care, follow-up appointments, restrictions and return to work between employees, HR and local established occupational health providers.
• Participate in evaluations with EHS for work-relatedness determinations
• Coordinate medical monitoring related to noise exposure or respiratory protection
• Wellness program coordination with HR including development wellness educational campaigns

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Registered nurse licensed in one of the Nursing License Compact states
• Occupational health nurse certification including COHN, COHN-S and/or CM
• 3-5 years occupational health experience

• Detailed case management, excellent observational and triage skills
• Able to maintain composure and work effectively under emergency situations
• Strong knowledge of OSHA Recordkeeping standard and industrial health standards
• Employee health experience
• Able to conduct evaluations or assessments of work activities in facilities wearing PPE (safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves as needed)
• Current, certified Red Cross First Aid and AED trainer a plus
• Experience in ergonomic evaluations desired
• Exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities. This may require they work more than eight hours a day and more than five days or 40 hours per week. Thorough compliance knowledge

The Per Diem Mobile Research Nurse is a Registered Nurse who will work per diem and has experience across multiple therapeutic areas with the ability to work independently and integrate well with the Nursing Solutions Group. With interest/expertise in Science 37’s decentralized model of care delivery, the Mobile Research Nurse will perform delivery of care to participants as well as collaborate with brick and mortar sites, if indicated, for shared clinical trial implementation. Compensation varies based on location and work being performed. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $50-55 per hour. We are seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team, meeting our stringent quality standards. Our ideal candidate is a vibrant individual with a passion for patient care, dedicated to ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for our patients. Exceptional communication skills are essential for success in our collaborative, fast-paced, and demanding work environment. This is a full-time position based in one of our clinics.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including JCAHO, HIPAA and OSHA
• Demonstrating clinical competency as an RN, including but not limited to: administering medications, setting up a sterile field, and sterilizing equipment 
• Communicating effectively with other providers regarding daily clinical and surgical schedules to coordinate care 
• Effectively documenting clinical and surgical chart notes appropriately and accurately
• Ensuring the highest level of patient care and patient service is provided at all times
• Consistently following policies and procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes
• Increasing physician’s overall patient retention by providing the highest quality patient care and patient experience
• Completing other projects and/or duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by Clinical Leadership Members

Required Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license 
• Current ACLS certification
• Availability to work overtime/weekends as needed
• Prioritize patient care and patient experience
• Ability to succeed independently and as part of a team
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a plastic surgery office is a big plus!
• Ability to identify/solve problems and think outside of the box
• Multitask effectively and be highly responsive to patients & team members

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to sit or stand intermittently for the duration of a shift (8-12 hours)
• Push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds
