About the team

What you’ll do

As a Risk Operations Analyst you will be working to ensure our policies, operations, and workflows align to the needs of our financial partners You will be accountable for workflows impacting a variety of cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to identify and assess regulatory, contractual, and partner risk. Further, you will influence and advise operational teams in building out scalable operational processes to ensure compliance with service level agreements, routine reporting, and overall risk mitigation.

This role exists to protect our sportsbook ecosystem from financial leaks and sophisticated fraud. You’ll help us maintain platform integrity and profitability by analyzing real-time betting data, neutralizing risks, and catching vulnerabilities before they scale.

What you’ll drive:

Real-Time Detection & Monitoring

• Validate live deposit and withdrawal activity using internal monitoring tools and anti-fraud alert systems.
• Detect and intercept suspicious transaction patterns, including carding, money laundering (AML), account takeover (ATO), and payment method abuse.

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) M&A & Reinsurance Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of reinsurance transaction risks within the organization. This role involves working closely with pricing actuaries, corporate development, investments, and other functions to evaluate proposed reinsurance transactions. Through effective, in-depth challenge, this role will assure all key risks are identified and disclosed, assumptions are reasonable, pricing models are accurate, and transaction governance requirements are followed. The AVP will advise the SVP Life & Annuity Risk Officer and the Fortitude CRO on transactions prior to submission of offers.

This position will report into the SVP, Life & Annuity Risk Officer and will be an experienced technical contributor playing a key role in the risk oversight of Fortitude Re’s life and annuity reinsurance transactions.

What You Will Do:

• Review transaction documents including deal information memorandum, appraisals, product profiles, contracts, experience studies, and other materials associated with prospective transactions.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Financial Systems Analyst, with strong exposure to Microsoft technologies.

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented finance professional with 3+ years of experience in FP&A or financial controlling to support our FP&A team.  WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Work closely with Accounting, Reporting, Tax and Financial Controllers to support the monthly management reporting close by cleansing, validating, and consolidating data from diverse sources (ERP, procurement system, and cross-functional inputs)
• Own procure-to-pay monitoring for assigned entities: track requests/payments, resolve issues, and ensure complete audit/tax/reporting documentation through rigorous compliance checks (contract terms, allocation, classification) in coordination with process stakeholders
• Maintain financial data integrity across complex Google Sheets models, ensuring critical financial data is accurate and accessible for the wider Finance team
• Build high-quality reports and presentations for leadership (PowerPoint storytelling, dashboards, clear takeaways)
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to gather timely inputs for short-term forecasting cycles
• Prepare supporting calculations (e.g., intercompany charges) and incorporate them into reporting and forecasting to support financial decision-making

What You’ll Do

• Support the execution of client engagements ranging from pre-NTP development through post-NTP construction and closeout, owning discrete workstreams and deliverables
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects on track against scope, schedule, and budget

How You’ll Be Compensated

The starting base salary for this role is between $100,000 and $115,000 with an equity award as part of your all-in compensation. The actual base salary and equity is dependent upon many factors, such as location, experience and internal compensation equity.
