Position Summary
As a Home Health Registered Nurse (RN Case Manager), you will provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to patients in their homes — helping them recover, remain independent, and live safely in their chosen environment. You will assess patient needs, develop individualized plans of care, and collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. This position offers a meaningful balance of autonomy and teamwork, allowing you to practice the full scope of nursing while being supported by a dedicated, mission-driven organization.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Behavioral Health Care Manager (BHCM) to join Akido’s Enhanced Care Management (ECM) team serving IEHP members across the Inland Empire. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone with a behavioral health background who is passionate about meeting people where they are—literally and figuratively—and wants to make a real difference for individuals navigating serious mental illness, substance use, and the compounding challenges of poverty, housing instability, and chronic illness.
As a core member of an interdisciplinary ECM team alongside a Registered Nurse, Care Coordinator, and Community Health Worker, you will serve as the team’s behavioral health resource—contributing to care planning, providing direct patient support, and ensuring that patients in crisis or with unmet behavioral health needs are connected to the right level of care. You will work primarily in community-based and clinic settings across the Inland Empire, with telephonic outreach and telehealth as needed.
The minimum education requirement for this role is a MSW or MFT, with a California licensure (LCSW/LMFT) preferred. The BHCM will also need to reside locally to the region served.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The applicable salary ranges are based on work location and are aligned to a zone according to the cost of labor in your area. All ranges are subject to change in the future. The posted hiring ranges represent a good‑faith estimate of what a temporary employee would be paid on this assignment. Final compensation will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferable experience related to the position, education, or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for managing Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) in assigned markets, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
• Lead and manage a team of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), including performance evaluations, competency assessments, and training on new workflows to ensure consistent high-quality care in assigned markets/clinics.
• Provide direct care to patients, as needed, to ensure adequate staffing levels and patient access.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teammate engagement, health and wellbeing, professional growth and development, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Nursing leadership to interview, select, onboard, and mentor nursing teammates.
• Conduct regular meetings with nursing team, ensuring appropriate support levels and ongoing discussions related to education and training needs.
• Coordinate staff schedules and monitor timecards, in close partnership with market/pod leadership, to ensure adequate coverage, efficient operations, and seamless patient care.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

• Current BLS and Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy (ONS) certification.
• Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) or related specialty highly desirable.
• Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience in oncology or a related field.

The applicable salary ranges are based on work location and are aligned to a zone according to the cost of labor in your area. All ranges are subject to change in the future. The posted hiring ranges represent a good‑faith estimate of what a temporary employee would be paid on this assignment. The Utilization Management (UM) Prior Authorization (PA) Nurse is a full-time role with NeueHealth, dedicated to promoting quality and cost-effective outcomes for the designated population. Working in collaboration with Medical Directors and the clinical team, the PA Nurse ensures members receive the appropriate benefit coverage for services requiring prior authorization. Responsibilities include reviewing prior authorizations for treatments, medications, procedures, and diagnostic tests to confirm alignment with contract requirements, coverage policies, and evidence-based medical necessity criteria. The PA Nurse also collects and analyzes utilization data and monitors the quality and appropriate use of services.
This role demands clinical expertise, keen attention to detail, and strong communication skills to effectively engage with healthcare providers, patients, and health plans. The PA Nurse adheres to all standard operating procedures and organizational policies and consistently meets or exceeds established performance benchmarks.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Authorization and Review
o Evaluate and process prior authorization requests for medical procedures, medications, and services based on clinical guidelines such as: Medicare criteria, Medicaid/Medi-Cal criteria, InterQual, MCG, or Health Plan specific guidelines.
o Utilize clinical knowledge to assess medical necessity and appropriateness of requested services.
o Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and coverage details.
2. Collaboration and Communication
o Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, and health plans to facilitate the authorization process.
o Communicate authorization decisions to the requesting provider and/or patient in a timely manner.
o Provide detailed explanations of denials or alternative solutions when authorization is not granted.
o Collaborate with the Medical Directors as needed to ensure all information is considered prior to an adverse determination.
o When an adverse determination is rendered, collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure integrity of determination notices based on the quality standards for adverse determinations.
o Comply with federal, state, and health plan specific requirements related to member communication of adverse determinations to include preferred language, mandated readability standard, correct medical criteria is referenced and the appropriate appeal information is provided.
3. Documentation and Compliance
o Accurately document all authorization-related activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) or authorization management system.
o Ensure compliance with federal, state, and health plan specific regulations and guidelines.
o Maintain knowledge of evolving policy and clinical criteria.
4. Quality Improvement
o Identify trends or recurring issues in authorization denials and recommend process improvements.
o Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and audits to ensure high-quality performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Education:
o Active California license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
o Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.
o Certification Managed Care Nursing (CMCN) preferred.
• Experience:
o Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in utilization management, case management, or prior authorizations.
o Familiarity with insurance authorization processes, medical billing, and coding (e.g., ICD-10, CPT codes).
o Working knowledge of MCG, InterQual, and NCQA standards.
• Skills:
o Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess medical necessity.
o Proficient in medical terminology and pharmacology.

Job Summary:
The Concurrent Utilization Review (UR) Nurse is responsible for conducting real-time clinical reviews to ensure the medical necessity and appropriateness of healthcare services provided to members under a managed care health plan. This role involves assessing inpatient admission and continued stays, coordinating with healthcare providers, facilitating communication with payers, and ensuring compliance with health plan policies and clinical guidelines. The UR Nurse collaborates with the Medical Director and clinical leadership for complex cases, denials, and escalated reviews.

Our Doc Van Mobile Clinic currently stops in the following cities: Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, Oxnard, and Woodland Hills. We are looking for someone who lives near the current stops, The Valley, or Ventura County.

We are looking for someone who can work a five day work week at the following schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 4:30PM.
Based on our DOC Van Mobile Clinic, you will treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band® and correct ear shapes with EarWell®. Pediatricians and parents alike look to our Clinicians as the experts in evaluation and in treatment of plagiocephaly as well as conditions involving misshapen ears. Our treating Clinicians develop great relationships with our families at every stage of their treatment process.
We hire from various backgrounds because each background is a great fit in its own way.
A background in pediatrics is preferred, but not necessary as we have a formal training program that includes mentoring.
