About this Technical Office Engineer – Planning, Marine Works (Expression of Interest) role at Cabonorte
We are inviting experienced Technical Office Engineers – Planning to register their interest for future opportunities across major marine and coastal infrastructure projects in the Middle East and the UAE.
The projects are expected to include complex marine and coastal developments requiring experienced planning engineers with expertise in marine construction scheduling, resource planning, and project controls.
Your Contribution
Project Planning & Scheduling
• Develop, maintain, and optimize resource-loaded master schedules for major marine construction projects
• Prepare baseline schedules and monitor project progress across specialized marine work packages, including dredging, marine piling, breakwaters, quay walls, block walls, jetty construction, and other coastal infrastructure works
• Support planning activities from tender and preconstruction through project execution
Marine Resource Planning & Schedule Control
• Plan and coordinate vessel deployment, marine equipment utilization, and offshore construction activities
• Balance marine resources while considering weather conditions, tidal influences, and other operational constraints
• Identify schedule risks and recommend recovery strategies to maintain project objectives
Planning Coordination
• Coordinate with engineering, methods, procurement, and construction teams to ensure planning activities remain aligned with project execution
• Support multidisciplinary planning reviews and maintain accurate project reporting
• Ensure planning deliverables reflect current project status and construction priorities
Technical Office Support
• Work closely with the Technical Office Manager, Marine Methods Engineers, and Marine Site Superintendents to ensure planning data accurately reflects field progress
• Prepare planning reports, look-ahead schedules, and progress analyses to support project decision-making
Your Profile
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with a strong focus on marine construction projects
• Between 60% and 70% of your professional experience gained within main contractor organizations
• Proven marine project planning experience within the United Arab Emirates and/or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Technical Expertise
• Experience developing and managing project schedules for major marine construction projects involving dredging, marine piling, breakwaters, quay walls, block walls, jetty construction, and other coastal infrastructure works
• Strong knowledge of marine construction sequencing, project controls, critical path analysis, resource planning, and schedule management
• Experience planning vessel operations, marine equipment deployment, and offshore construction activities
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera (P6) and MS Project

• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and reporting accuracy
• Effective communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
