Steel Fabrication Equipment Operator

Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled Steel Fabrication Equipment Operator to support daily metal fabrication operations. This position involves operating fabrication machinery to cut, bend, and form steel components used in structural and miscellaneous metal projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in reading fabrication drawings and producing quality parts.
Primary Duties
Set up and operate press brakes, shears, and other metal fabrication equipment.
Cut, bend, and form structural steel and miscellaneous metal components according to production requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, shop prints, and work orders.
Measure, mark, and lay out materials using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools.
Inspect completed parts to verify dimensions, quality, and compliance with specifications.
Transport materials and finished products throughout the shop using forklifts and overhead cranes.
Keep equipment and work areas clean while following established safety procedures.
Report equipment issues or material concerns that may affect production or quality.
Qualifications
Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience operating press brakes, shears, or similar metal fabrication equipment.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication documents.
Experience working with structural steel or miscellaneous metal fabrication.
Skilled in measuring, material layout, and the use of precision hand tools.
Forklift and overhead crane operating experience is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
