Our client is a fast-growing UK-based eCommerce business looking for a highly organised, proactive, and tech-savvy Operations & Customer Experience Executive to support the day-to-day running of the business.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining customer service, operations, order management, and eCommerce administration. Working closely with the founders, warehouse partners, and customers, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience while ensuring operational processes run smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Manage customer enquiries primarily via email.
- Resolve customer issues professionally, efficiently, and empathetically.
- Deliver exceptional customer service that reflects the company's brand values.
- Assist customers with order enquiries, returns, exchanges, and delivery queries.
- Ensure every customer interaction results in a positive experience.
Operations
- Manage incoming customer orders and oversee the fulfilment process.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse partners to ensure accurate and timely dispatch.
- Monitor stock availability and proactively communicate inventory issues.
- Support operational administration and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist with day-to-day business operations as required.
Shopify & Systems Administration
- Perform daily administration within Shopify.
- Update product listings, inventory, and order information.
- Troubleshoot basic Shopify-related issues.
- Maintain accurate product, customer, and order records.
- Provide ad hoc administrative and operational support to the founders.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in Customer Service, Operations, eCommerce Administration, or a similar role.
- Experience managing customer communications via email.
- Experience coordinating customer orders and inventory.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- High level of computer literacy and confidence using multiple online systems.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.
Desirable Experience
- Previous Shopify experience.
- Experience working with warehouse or logistics partners.
- Experience within an eCommerce or retail business.
- Startup experience.
- Experience improving operational processes.
Equipment Requirements
- Reliable laptop or desktop computer.
- Stable, high-speed internet connection.
- Dedicated home working environment suitable for professional communication.
Working Hours
- Part-time position.
- Approximately 3–4 hours per day.
- Morning availability is essential to meet warehouse dispatch cut-off times.
- Some flexibility may be required depending on business needs.
