We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedย Design Coordination Managerย to oversee the seamless coordination between design and site execution teams, ensuring that project deliverables are aligned with construction schedules and quality expectations. This role is critical in driving timely design submissions, resolving coordination challenges, and maintaining effective communication across internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong project coordination skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative approach to delivering complex projects efficiently.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate effectively between design, site execution, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Manage design submission schedules and ensure design deliverables remain ahead of construction activities.
- Track, monitor, and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) within agreed timelines to avoid project delays.
- Maintain and update the design drawing register, ensuring the latest revisions are available to all stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate design review meetings involving project teams, consultants, and clients.
- Coordinate the review and approval of shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with structural, MEP, landscape, and other external consultants to ensure timely submission of deliverables.
- Identify potential design-to-construction interface issues early and coordinate effective resolutions before site execution.
- Support project planning by assisting with design-related schedules, milestones, and progress tracking.
- Ensure clear communication, documentation, and coordination across all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 5+ years of experience in design coordination, project coordination, construction management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of design documentation, construction workflows, and project execution processes.
- Proven ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Experience managing design submissions, RFIs, drawing revisions, and approval workflows.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and meeting facilitation abilities.
- Ability to proactively identify risks, resolve coordination challenges, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and quality standards.
