We are seeking a results-drivenย Area Sales Managerย to lead sales growth, expand market presence, and strengthen partner relationships across the assigned territory. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in field sales, team leadership, and business development who thrive in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing territory sales strategies, managing a team of sales representatives, and driving revenue growth through effective account management and partner acquisition. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and channel partners to identify growth opportunities, improve market penetration, and ensure consistent execution of business objectives. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills, along with the ability to drive performance in a dynamic business environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve revenue, market share, and business growth objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives, ensuring high performance through coaching, training, and regular performance reviews.
  • Travel extensively within the assigned territory to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing store partners and key accounts to maximize customer satisfaction and business retention.
  • Identify, pitch, negotiate, and onboard new partners to expand the business footprint, particularly in high-potential micro-markets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to develop effective sales and expansion strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives, promotions, and partner engagement activities.
  • Track sales performance, prepare regular business reports, and provide actionable insights to improve territory performance.
  • Resolve customer and partner concerns promptly while maintaining high service standards.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, sales processes, and operational guidelines across the assigned region.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, territory management, or business development with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring, and motivating field sales teams.
  • Hands-on experience in account management, partner relationship management, and channel expansion.
  • Excellent business development skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed business decisions.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel and managing operations across assigned territories.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently in a high-growth, performance-focused environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first approach to building long-term business relationships.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, consumer goods, or distribution-led business environments will be an added advantage.
