About this CORTEX Operations role at TAWANTECH
We are seeking an experienced CORTEX Operations Specialist to support, monitor, and manage CORTEX application operations within a banking environment. The role is responsible for ensuring system availability, operational stability, incident resolution, and effective coordination with technical and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support day-to-day CORTEX operations within the banking environment.
- Monitor CORTEX applications, services, interfaces, and batch processing.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Handle application alerts, failures, and operational issues within agreed SLAs.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, database, middleware, network, and application teams.
- Support deployment, release, patching, and production change activities.
- Perform health checks and ensure high availability and system performance.
- Manage incident, problem, and change requests using ITSM tools.
- Prepare operational reports, incident analysis, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with banking security policies, operational controls, and audit requirements.
- Participate in on-call and production support activities when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CORTEX Operations, Application Support, or Production Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with CORTEX systems/applications.
- Previous experience in banking or financial services is required.
- Strong knowledge of production operations, incident management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, SQL, databases, and application monitoring tools.
- Understanding of batch processing, system interfaces, APIs, and application integrations.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a high-availability and critical banking production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ITIL certification is preferred.
- Experience supporting mission-critical banking applications and 24/7 production environments.
