About this Construction Manager – Marine Works (Expression of Interest) role at Cabonorte
We are inviting experienced Construction Managers – Marine Works to express their interest for future opportunities across major marine infrastructure projects in the Middle East and the UAE.
The projects are expected to include complex marine works, coastal infrastructure, waterfront developments, and other technically demanding marine construction projects requiring experienced site leaders with a proven track record in managing large-scale field operations.
Your Contribution
Site Leadership & Construction Management
• Lead and oversee marine construction activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution
• Manage the overall site execution structure, providing direction to the General Site Superintendent and coordinating Marine Site Superintendents responsible for specialized work packages
• Ensure marine construction activities are executed in accordance with project schedules, technical requirements, and quality standards
Marine Package Coordination
• Coordinate the execution of major marine construction packages including piling works, dredging, breakwaters, block walls, jetty construction, quay walls, and related coastal infrastructure
• Ensure effective integration and coordination between multiple marine construction disciplines throughout project execution
• Monitor site progress and support the resolution of construction challenges to maintain project performance
Technical Coordination
• Work closely with the Technical Manager and Marine Design Engineers to resolve engineering issues affecting marine construction activities
• Coordinate technical solutions related to hydrodynamic, geotechnical, and marine engineering challenges
• Support the implementation of engineering solutions to minimize disruption to construction schedules
Site Planning & Execution
• Coordinate marine construction resources, equipment deployment, and site logistics to support efficient project delivery
• Monitor project schedules and resource allocation in collaboration with planning teams
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with project health, safety, and quality requirements
Your Profile
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in marine construction management
• Between 60% and 70% of your professional experience gained within main contractor organizations
• Proven project delivery experience within the United Arab Emirates and/or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Technical Expertise
• Strong understanding of marine construction methodologies and site execution
• Experience managing marine construction packages including piling, dredging, breakwaters, quay walls, jetties, block walls, and related coastal infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of marine construction sequencing, site logistics, equipment deployment, and resource planning
Skills & Working Style
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Practical, hands-on approach to marine construction management and field execution
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary construction teams within demanding marine project environments
