itD is seeking a Thermal Test Engineer to plan, configure, execute, and analyze system-level thermal testing that supports product reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will bring experience with system-level traffic generation, thermal test execution, and cross-functional engineering collaboration, along with a demonstrated ability to analyze thermal data, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.

Location: On-site - San Jose, CA

Pay Rate: $28.08 - $29.08

Responsibilities:

• Configure and set up system-level traffic generation prior to thermal test execution.

• Plan and execute thermal testing to evaluate system performance and thermal behavior.

• Analyze thermal test data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential thermal issues.

• Investigate thermal issues, determine root causes, and develop improvement recommendations.

• Prepare comprehensive thermal test reports documenting test methods, results, findings, and recommendations.

• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, RF, and software engineering teams throughout test planning and execution.

• Partner with hardware, software, product marketing, and manufacturing teams to communicate findings and support product objectives.

Internal Responsibilities:

• Attend regular internal practice community meetings.

• Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.

• Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).

• Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.

• Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).

• Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience setting up and configuring system-level traffic generation prior to thermal test execution.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, including electrical, mechanical, RF, and software engineering.

• Experience analyzing thermal test data and identifying thermal issues and their root causes.

• Experience writing comprehensive thermal test reports and providing improvement recommendations.

• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience collaborating across hardware, software, RF, product marketing, and manufacturing organizations.

• Experience supporting system-level product testing and performance analysis.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
