The Opportunity
Lead and grow one of Podium’s Australia-based SDR sales team. Reporting to the Head of Sales, own the full-funnel sales motion - from outbound strategy to pipeline creation and closed-won revenue - while coaching and developing a team of Sales Development Representatives across one of our key verticals.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and coach a team of SDRs on outbound cold-calling execution, holding them to monthly KPIs across activity, pipeline and revenue
- Run structured coaching cadences - call listening, live shadowing, role-plays and 1:1s to lift talk tracks, objection handling and conversion at every stage of the outbound cadence
- Own the day-to-day management of a largely junior sales team, including onboarding, ramp plans and career progression
- Drive outbound strategy and execute vertical-specific acquisition plans
- Develop team capability through training and embedded sales best practices
- Collaborate with Marketing, CX and Partnerships to optimise go-to-market motion
- Forecast and report performance metrics to local and global leadership
- Partner with RevOps to ensure systems, reporting, and data support effective decision-making and forecasting
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience managing a high-volume outbound cold-calling sales team
- Experience managing junior salespeople - hiring, onboarding, developing and retaining talent early in their sales career
- Strong track record as a sales coach - confident getting on calls, running live coaching sessions and 1:1s to sharpen rep performance
- Data-driven mindset; confident analysing metrics and identifying improvement areas
- Experience with SMB-focused or verticalised sales teams (highly regarded)
