We are looking for an experienced Lead Senior Associate – Full-Stack Java to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, modern frontend frameworks, and distributed systems.
The role combines hands-on software engineering, technical ownership, system design, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be comfortable building mission-critical applications, solving complex engineering challenges, and contributing to reliable, observable, and maintainable software platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable Java-based microservices and modern user interfaces.
- Build enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring frameworks, and ORM technologies.
- Develop responsive and maintainable frontend applications using ReactJS or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, integrations, and distributed application components.
- Translate product requirements and user stories into actionable technical solutions.
- Take ownership of engineering deliverables throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
- Design loosely coupled, scalable, maintainable, and resilient microservices architectures.
- Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema and query design.
- Improve system observability through appropriate metrics, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Define and monitor technical and operational metrics to assess system health and manage risks.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems when required.
- Conduct code reviews and promote clean coding, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and support other engineers through technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to Agile planning, estimation, delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly in accordance with organisational policies.
- Contribute to cloud-native and modern DevOps practices across application development and deployment.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong hands-on development expertise.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and related Spring technologies.
- Experience developing enterprise applications using microservices and distributed systems.
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, application integrations, and scalable backend services.
- Hands-on experience with ReactJS or modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or Vue.
- Strong understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL, database schema design, and query optimisation.
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.
- Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, Agile development, and modern engineering practices.
- Strong understanding of application observability, monitoring, metrics, alerting, and production support.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform is an advantage.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, SNS/SQS, or other data-streaming and messaging technologiesis desirable.
- Exposure to advertising technology, programmatic advertising, or real-time bidding platforms is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
