We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Operations – Manufacturing & Supply Chain to lead end-to-end operational activities across procurement, manufacturing, assembly, inventory, logistics, and dispatch.
The role requires strong ownership of plant operations and the ability to manage vendors, production teams, logistics partners, inventory, and operational costs. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing and supply chain expertise, commercial awareness, and proven experience building efficient operating processes.
This is an on-site leadership role requiring close involvement in day-to-day plant execution, operational problem-solving, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing, procurement, inventory, supply chain, logistics, and dispatch operations.
- Develop procurement plans based on production requirements, demand forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers and vendors.
- Build and maintain alternate supplier sources to improve supply continuity and reduce operational risk.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, quality requirements, and commercial agreements with vendors.
- Oversee production planning, assembly schedules, capacity utilisation, and daily manufacturing output.
- Monitor production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, consumables, and other production requirements.
- Manage inventory across raw materials, components, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and improve stock accuracy, availability, and working-capital efficiency.
- Coordinate logistics and dispatch activities to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Evaluate freight quotations and select transportation partners based on cost, reliability, service quality, and turnaround time.
- Coordinate movement of finished goods across company-operated and franchise locations.
- Develop and monitor operational MIS, dashboards, KPIs, and cost reports.
- Track procurement costs, manufacturing costs, logistics expenses, inventory levels, and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, automation, and operational standardisation.
- Lead and mentor procurement, manufacturing/assembly, inventory, and logistics teams.
- Establish operating processes, SOPs, review mechanisms, and accountability across operational functions.
- Work closely with leadership to support capacity planning, expansion initiatives, and long-term operational strategy.
- Ensure operational activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality standards.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, plant operations, procurement, supply chain, logistics, or a closely related function.
- Strong experience managing end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Proven experience in supplier identification, vendor management, commercial negotiation, and procurement.
- Strong understanding of production planning, assembly operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cost control, procurement savings, inventory optimisation, and operational efficiency.
- Experience managing multiple operational teams and leading cross-functional execution.
- Strong understanding of raw materials, components, finished goods, dispatch, and transportation processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or technology-driven environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and MIS.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and people-management capabilities with a hands-on approach to operations.
- Ability to identify bottlenecks quickly and drive corrective actions through to completion.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working on-site and being closely involved in plant-level operations and execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related disciplineis preferred.
