Position Overview:

Job Description:

• Follows the established written schedule of duties for the assigned area
• Operates and maintains all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Lifts and moves furniture, using appropriate equipment
• Delivers incoming supplies throughout the building as assigned
• Cooperates with staff from other areas of responsibility when additional cleaning is required
• Replenishes soap and paper towel dispenser supplies in assigned areas
• Performs all assigned duties in the method and manner established through the Facility Janitorial procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1-2 years recent experience in an industrial cleaning capacity is preferred
• Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively
• Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to perform cleaning at heights from Aerial platform (able to successfully complete Aerial Platform and Fall Arrest Training)
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures

Note:

• This posting is for a static afternoon shift scheduled Monday - Thursday; 10 hours per day (3pm - 1:30am)
• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

• Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment
• Hourly Rate: $24.40 - $25.46 / Hour
