Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders
- Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
- Set up, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools in order to perform machine operations
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
- Select appropriate tools, machines and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs
Qualifications:
- Interprovincial Machinist certification
- 3+ years of shop experience
- Ability to use precision tools (calipers) to take accurate measurements
- Boring and Rottler experience is required
- Mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment/engines would be considered an asset.

- This position is located at our Regina branch on a 4x3 Evening Shift
- A condition of employment may include the ability to wear a respirator where applicable
- Apprentices may be considered
