Job Overview: The Immigrant Youth Program Coordinator or Success Coach will coordinate the services provided to immigrant children and their families to ensure they have access to basic needs, education, community resources, and other services crucial to their well-being and stability. The Program Coordinator will function as the primary case manager for the family and coordinate services with other IRC partners and subgrantees, as well as help expand the network of service providers to strengthen services and improve the family’s success. Additionally, the Program Coordinator is responsible for attending local events and cultivating community partnerships and other community resources. The Program Coordinator will provide technical assistance and leadership to a team of interns and volunteers and will help with the selection of candidates during each cohort recruitment period.  This position will report to the Immigrant Youth Program Supervisor. Travel within Miami-Dade County.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive wrap-around case management services to immigrant children and their families, ensuring individualized support and advocacy.

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and ongoing evaluations to develop and implement tailored service plans that promote client safety, stability, and well-being.

  • Empower clients by connecting them with appropriate resources and services and ensuring they have the tools to achieve their personal goals.

  • Coordinate referrals and service planning with relevant stakeholders, ensuring a client-centered approach across all service areas.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for each family's case, maintaining strong working relationships with legal service providers, community partners, and other stakeholders.

  • Deliver orientation services and ensure families understand available resources and program expectations.

  • Provide crisis intervention, including mandated reporting to Child Protective Services when necessary.

  • Participate actively in case management and staffing meetings to ensure consistent and informed client care.

  • Meet regularly with Case Aide/Natural Helper to collaborate on relevant urgent cases and projects related to program implementation.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date case documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure high-quality data collection across all cases and contribute to data reporting and program development efforts.

  • Promote program enrollment through client referrals and partnerships with other community providers.

  • Collect client satisfaction surveys at case closure to track program success.

  • Submit required reports and documentation in a timely and organized manner.

  • Lead and supervise a team of interns and volunteers, including:

    • Weekly one-on-one supervision meetings

    • Effective delegation and oversight of tasks

    • Ongoing feedback, communication, and coaching

    • Support for professional development and training

  • Represent the IRC at community meetings and public forums, strengthening partnerships with local service providers and promoting program visibility.

  • Ensure timely and appropriate distribution of in-kind donations to clients.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of funder regulations and program policies, ensuring full compliance across all activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, international affairs, or human services; graduate degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Relevant professional experience in providing direct services related to unaccompanied children or immigrant youth populations required; minimum of 5 years’ experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in the provision of immigration legal services preferred.

Ability to lead in a way that recognizes that IRC’s work is best accomplished through the true collaboration of individuals from many cultures with a great variety of skills and perspectives.

  • Ability to handle complex and sensitive cases and to work effectively with clients who have a wide range of psychosocial, protection, health, immigration, and criminal justice issues.

  • Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.

  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in Spanish is desired.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.

Working Environment: 

  • A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.

  • Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required.

  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

This position is expected to end on September 30, 2027.

Compensation: (Pay Rate: $27.49 - $28.93/hr). Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.  Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
