The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in a clean, sanitary, and welcoming condition. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a positive guest experience by delivering high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Room Cleaning
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards.
- Make beds and replace linens, towels, and guest amenities.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and corridors.
- Clean bathrooms, fixtures, mirrors, and other facilities thoroughly.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, and safety hazards promptly.
Public Area Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of public spaces, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and staff areas.
- Ensure all areas are neat, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Replenish supplies and amenities in public areas as required.
Guest Service
- Respond courteously and professionally to guest requests.
- Support guest satisfaction by addressing housekeeping-related concerns promptly.
- Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Follow company policies, hygiene standards, and safety procedures.
- Properly use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations.
- Report accidents, incidents, or lost-and-found items according to established procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset).
