The Coordinator is a member of Outreach Experiences, a team within Access ASU, and supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of K–12 outreach and pre-college programs that promote college readiness, career-connected learning, and access to higher education. Responsibilities include coordinating outreach events, workshops, cohort-based programs, and summer programming; managing program logistics and communications; and maintaining relationships with students, families, schools, community partners, and ASU colleges and departments. The Coordinator may serve as a lead for Access ASU programs and initiatives and support ongoing engagement with students and families as they progress toward college enrollment.
This position plays an important role in advancing Access ASU’s mission through hands-on program coordination, relationship building, and collaboration. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment that values innovation and service.
This position reports to the Assistant Director and is primarily based on the Tempe campus, with regular travel to other ASU campuses and community sites throughout metropolitan Phoenix.

Essential Duties:
Outreach Programming and Student Engagement
Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and programming that promote college readiness, career exploration, and postsecondary pathways for K–12 students and families.
Coordinate and support outreach events, college readiness programs, and visits for school and community partners.
Represent Access ASU at campus, school, and community events.
Cohort Program Coordination
Coordinate and implement cohort-based outreach programs that engage students over multiple years.
Develop curriculum, activities, and experiences that support leadership development, academic exploration, and college readiness.
Maintain ongoing communication with student participants and families to support engagement and program success.
Track student participation and outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness and inform program improvements.
Program Planning and Operations
Develop program and event work plans and coordinate logistics for workshops, campus visits, conferences, summer programs, and other outreach initiatives.
Coordinate participant registration, communications, facilities, schedules, program materials, and other operational needs.
Monitor program budgets and expenditures and coordinate purchasing and resource needs in accordance with university procedures.
Maintain participant records and assist with reports and documentation related to outreach initiatives.
Support recruitment and engagement strategies that increase awareness of and access to higher education opportunities and pathways to ASU.
May train, coordinate, and provide work direction to student employees and other assigned staff.
Partnership Development
Establish and maintain effective relationships with schools, community organizations, and university partners.
Collaborate with internal departments and program teams to deliver high-quality outreach experiences.
Communicate with community partners to develop and sustain partnerships that advance program goals.
Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
Collect and analyze program data to assess effectiveness and support program improvement.
Identify challenges or opportunities within outreach programming and recommend adjustments to improve impact.
Program Administration & Coordination

Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
Experience working with K–12 students, families, and school systems.
Experience working with higher education, or college access/outreach programs.
Experience coordinating educational programs, workshops, events, or other student-focused initiatives.
Experience supporting students and families in navigating college readiness, career exploration, and pathways to higher education.
Experience developing and delivering engaging presentations for students, families, educators, and community stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to build trust and meaningful relationships with students, families, schools, community organizations, and institutional partners.
Experience working with underserved, and under-resourced communities, including first-generation college-going students and families.
Knowledge of college readiness, college access, career exploration, and student engagement practices.
Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Experience collecting, analyzing, or using program data to inform decisions and improve programs.
Working Environment:
Work location is primarily in-person at the ASU Tempe campus. The incumbent will be required to drive a personal vehicle to other ASU campuses and community event sites as needed.
The work schedule includes evening and weekend hours to support program events. On non-event days, the standard schedule is in-person, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. During the summer program season, the schedule may be modified to support residential and non-residential programs.
Activities are performed in an office and event environment, involving extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and coordination in both indoor and outdoor settings. The role may require lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Regular Schedule:
In-person, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; however, every team member must count on working during evenings and weekends as needed. Work location is primarily at the Memorial Union building at the ASU Tempe Campus; however, the incumbent must travel to off-campus events and other ASU campuses.

Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) is committed to enrolling all qualified students at Arizona State University and assisting them in their academic success. EOSS provides a broad range of services and support to students and prospective students ranging from outreach efforts with K-12 schools, orientation programs for new freshman, bridge programs to assist the transition to a university environment, and a wide variety of services, programs and activities for enrolled students. EOSS has direct responsibility for multiple departments across four campuses, some of which include the Dean of Students, University Housing, Health Services, Counseling Services, Disability Resources, the Memorial Union, TRIO programs, Sun Devil Fitness, Student Government, Student Media, Career Services, Access ASU and others.
