This position works collaboratively with other members of the Municipal Customer Relations Team (CRT) to explore, develop, and complete programs, projects, and initiatives that assist and serve the public power communities in their mission to provide affordable, reliable municipally-owned power to their citizens.Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support in the coordination and completion of programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate across divisions to solicit assistance, project participation, forward planning, and execution of power related projects.
- Foster and maintain professional, productive client relationships.
- Assist in meetings, community initiatives, and outreach events.
- Collaborate across departments to support the development and implementation of critical external communications
- Primary liaison between internal divisions and external public power communities.
- Develop and sustain close working relationships with municipal authority managers, councils, and utility boards.
- Monitor customer feedback, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Oversee the management of large and key accounts, addressing complex service needs, rate inquiries, and operational coordination.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualities:
- Knowledge of and experience working with federal, state, tribal, county, and local governments.
- Proven ability to manage projects and initiatives, working in a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of contractual partnerships.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-organized, excellent multitasker with time management skills
Education, Training, Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field, preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of municipal government, civic organization, or electric utility experience, with an emphasis on customer service or related field, preferred.
Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.
Physical/Mental Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office setting
- This position requires some evening and weekend travel and meeting requirements.

- This position will require significant time at an assigned workstation at either the Engineering and Technology Center in Tulsa or the Administrative Center in Chouteau.
