Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Principal Agile Product Owner (26-432) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Based in Huntsville, AL, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.

This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations—both globally and regionally—to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.

Within this mission, the Regional Applications Analysis (RA-An) team provides critical analysis and verification products that inform program decisions and operational outcomes. We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the C2BMC Analysis scrum team on RA-An, driving delivery of high‑value analysis capabilities that directly support our warfighter-focused mission.

Essential Functions:

The selected candidate will serve as the Product Owner for the C2BMC Analysis scrum team on the RA-An team and will be responsible for driving value for analysis and verification products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming) and champion continuous improvement within the team
  • Author, refine, and prioritize features and user stories to ensure feasibility, clarity, and readiness for iteration and sprint planning
  • Balance stakeholder priorities, team capacity, constraints, and dependencies to maximize value delivered each sprint and program increment
  • Deliver clear and concise progress status updates to Regional Applications (RA) leadership and Program Leadership
  • Support C2BMC Control Account Managers (CAMs) with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) baseline, performance management, and reporting for analysis efforts
  • Support proposal development with Bills of Estimate (BOEs) and engineering estimates for analysis tasks, partnering closely with engineering, program management, and business management
  • As needed, perform hands-on analysis tasks, such as reviewing scenario assessments, developing and refining briefs, and coordinating findings and actions across integrated product teams
