The Opportunity:

Revolution Medicines Japan is seeking a Senior Manager, General Affairs & Workplace Operations to build and lead a safe, efficient, and employee-centered workplace.

This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the operational foundation of Revolution Medicines Japan at an important stage of growth. You will have a direct impact on how employees work, connect, and thrive—while building the workplace, safety, and continuity capabilities needed for the organization’s future. This role will oversee office moves, workplace projects, day-to-day facilities operations, company vehicle lease administration, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) support, and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).

Beyond managing day-to-day operations, this person will help design the foundations of a growing organization and create an environment where employees can do their best work. We are looking for a hands-on, proactive leader who enjoys solving practical problems, building scalable processes, and working closely with colleagues to make our company a better place to work. If you are energized by building, improving, and taking ownership—and want to help create a company where people can do meaningful work at their best—we would welcome your application.

Key Responsibilities:

Workplace & Office Operations

  • Lead office relocation, expansion, renovation, layout-change, and site-opening projects from planning through execution.

  • Oversee daily workplace operations, including facilities, office equipment and supplies, mail and courier services, cleaning, security, access control, and visitor management.

  • Manage company vehicle lease arrangements and related fleet administration, including vendor coordination, contract administration, renewals, usage policies, safety compliance, and budget control.

  • Oversee the administration of company assets, corporate insurance, and related records.

  • Partner with HR and IT to support workplace-related onboarding and offboarding activities.

  • Support the planning and execution of internal events and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Continuously improve the office environment and employee workplace experience.

  • Manage relationships with building management, contractors, service providers, and other external vendors.

  • Lead vendor selection, contract management, purchasing, budget planning, and cost control.

EHS & Employee Support

  • Develop and maintain EHS programs in Japan in alignment with applicable local regulations and global policies.

  • Coordinate occupational health and safety activities, including health checks, stress checks, emergency preparedness, and evacuation drills.

  • Partner with occupational health physicians, the Health and Safety Committee, external specialists, and internal stakeholders.

  • Identify and address workplace safety, health, and employee well-being needs.

  • Support inspections, documentation, audits, and regulatory interactions as required.

Business Continuity & Risk Management

  • Develop, maintain, test, and continuously improve the Japan Business Continuity Plan and emergency response procedures.

  • Prepare for potential disruptions, including natural disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, power outages, and security incidents.

  • Maintain emergency contact procedures, employee safety confirmation processes, alternative work arrangements, and recovery plans.

  • Partner with global and local teams to assess operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Compliance, and global Workplace/EHS teams.

  • Gather employees and business needs and translate them into practical, well-prioritized solutions.

  • Establish and improve operational processes, policies, and vendor governance.

  • Provide clear updates to leadership on project progress, budgets, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in general affairs, facilities management, workplace operations, EHS, or related functions.

  • Demonstrated experience leading office relocation, renovation, site-opening, or other cross-functional workplace projects.

  • Practical experience in one or more of the following areas: occupational health and safety, EHS, disaster preparedness, BCP, or risk management.

  • Experience with budget management, procurement, contracts, and vendor management.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese.

  • Professional working proficiency in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global colleagues.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive execution in a fast-changing environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a multinational company, preferably in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

  • Experience building or improving processes and programs in a growing organization.

  • Relevant EHS, occupational health and safety, disaster preparedness, and/or risk management qualifications.

  • Experience coordinating workplace projects involving IT, security, design, construction, and/or building management.

  • People management experience.
