The Opportunity:
Revolution Medicines Japan is seeking a Senior Manager, General Affairs & Workplace Operations to build and lead a safe, efficient, and employee-centered workplace.
This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the operational foundation of Revolution Medicines Japan at an important stage of growth. You will have a direct impact on how employees work, connect, and thrive—while building the workplace, safety, and continuity capabilities needed for the organization’s future. This role will oversee office moves, workplace projects, day-to-day facilities operations, company vehicle lease administration, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) support, and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).

Key Responsibilities:
Workplace & Office Operations

Lead office relocation, expansion, renovation, layout-change, and site-opening projects from planning through execution.

Oversee daily workplace operations, including facilities, office equipment and supplies, mail and courier services, cleaning, security, access control, and visitor management.

Manage company vehicle lease arrangements and related fleet administration, including vendor coordination, contract administration, renewals, usage policies, safety compliance, and budget control.

Oversee the administration of company assets, corporate insurance, and related records.

Partner with HR and IT to support workplace-related onboarding and offboarding activities.

Support the planning and execution of internal events and employee engagement initiatives.

Continuously improve the office environment and employee workplace experience.

Manage relationships with building management, contractors, service providers, and other external vendors.

Lead vendor selection, contract management, purchasing, budget planning, and cost control.
EHS & Employee Support

Develop and maintain EHS programs in Japan in alignment with applicable local regulations and global policies.

Coordinate occupational health and safety activities, including health checks, stress checks, emergency preparedness, and evacuation drills.

Partner with occupational health physicians, the Health and Safety Committee, external specialists, and internal stakeholders.

Identify and address workplace safety, health, and employee well-being needs.

Support inspections, documentation, audits, and regulatory interactions as required.
Business Continuity & Risk Management

Develop, maintain, test, and continuously improve the Japan Business Continuity Plan and emergency response procedures.

Prepare for potential disruptions, including natural disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, power outages, and security incidents.

Maintain emergency contact procedures, employee safety confirmation processes, alternative work arrangements, and recovery plans.

Partner with global and local teams to assess operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Cross-Functional Partnership

Work closely with Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Compliance, and global Workplace/EHS teams.

Gather employees and business needs and translate them into practical, well-prioritized solutions.

Establish and improve operational processes, policies, and vendor governance.

Provide clear updates to leadership on project progress, budgets, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:

8+ years of relevant experience in general affairs, facilities management, workplace operations, EHS, or related functions.

Demonstrated experience leading office relocation, renovation, site-opening, or other cross-functional workplace projects.

Practical experience in one or more of the following areas: occupational health and safety, EHS, disaster preparedness, BCP, or risk management.

Experience with budget management, procurement, contracts, and vendor management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese.

Professional working proficiency in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global colleagues.

Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive execution in a fast-changing environment.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in a multinational company, preferably in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

Experience building or improving processes and programs in a growing organization.

Relevant EHS, occupational health and safety, disaster preparedness, and/or risk management qualifications.

Experience coordinating workplace projects involving IT, security, design, construction, and/or building management.

People management experience.
