Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing our teams to collaborate effectively across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian Provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England. We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.

About your role

Juniper Square is building an Events function that brings together strong event strategy, exceptional execution, and clear business impact. We run a diverse portfolio of programs across private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real assets, from major industry conferences and sponsorships to intimate executive dinners, hosted experiences, partner programs, and always-on events.

As an Events Manager on this team, you will own an asset-class portfolio, and become a close partner to the Sales teams serving those markets. You will help determine where Juniper Square should show up, what type of experience will best serve our audience and business objectives, and how each program can create meaningful opportunities to deepen relationships and generate pipeline.

This role is equally about strategy and the craft of creating great experiences. You should care about who is in the room and why, but also how the room feels. You will think through the full attendee journey, from invitation and pre-event engagement to content, hospitality, environment, flow, branding, and follow-up, and bring a high level of thoughtfulness to the details that make an experience feel intentional.

You will not simply inherit a calendar and execute against it. You will be asked to shape your portfolio, develop a point of view on the events and formats that matter most to your audience, and continuously improve how Juniper Square shows up in the market.

At the same time, this is a commercially minded Events team. We expect our programs to have a purpose and measure performance accordingly. You will be accountable for outcomes, including pipeline sourced, account progression, cost per opportunity, event ROI and post-event follow through, using those results to understand what is working and inform where we invest next.

About these openings

We are hiring for multiple openings on the Events team through this posting. This posting covers more than one role, spanning our private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real assets portfolios. The portfolio you would own will be determined during the interview process.

What you’ll do

Portfolio accountability

  • Carry the pipeline target for your asset-class portfolio and own performance against it, helping deliver on quarterly pipeline goals for your asset class.

  • Measure the performance of your portfolio across metrics like pipeline sourced, account progression, cost per opportunity, event ROI, target-account engagement, and follow-through, using those results to recommend where we should invest more, adjust our approach, or stop.

  • Build pre-event target account lists in partnership with the AEs and sales leaders covering your portfolio, and tie events to the appropriate stage in our account progression framework.

  • Own the scorecard and data integrity for your portfolio. Campaign records, attendee data, and lead handoff should be accurate and current, and post-event readouts should clearly capture what happened, what it means, and what we should change next time.

  • Own the system for post-event follow-up: maintain visibility into what has been actioned, track SLAs, and escalate when follow-through stalls. Your AE partners own the sales action; you own making sure opportunities created through events do not disappear into a black box.

  • Work with Sales Ops and the data team to keep your portfolios correctly represented in the account scoring model, fixing the system when data is wrong rather than working around it.

Program and experience design

  • Turn business objectives and audience needs into the right event format, from industry conferences to intimate dinners and hosted experiences.

  • Design the full attendee journey, bringing thoughtfulness to the details that shape how an event feels before, during, and after.

  • Create experiences that feel intentional, relevant, and worth showing up for, with the right mix of content, hospitality, environment, and brand.

  • Adapt and evolve programs based on the audience, asset class, and what we learn from each event.

  • Bring creativity and a strong point of view to how Juniper Square shows up in the market.

Event leadership

  • Serve as the end-to-end Event Lead for your portfolio, owning the objective, audience, format, content, budget, vendors, on-site execution, and follow-through.

  • Independently manage vendors, venues, and cross-functional contributors and deliver within the budget allocated to your portfolio, with clear visibility into spend and variance.

  • Lead the pre-event dossier, on-site execution, and post-event handoff, then improve the playbook based on what actually happened.

  • Build agents and automations that remove recurring manual work from the events function, and partner with IT and data on the tooling that touches events.

Asset-class depth

  • Understand the major conference producers, flagship events, audiences, and sponsorship economics within your asset class.

  • Be able to brief an AE on who attends a given event, which accounts matter most, and why participating is or is not worth the investment.

  • Recognize when a program or format that works for one asset class will not translate to another, and adjust the strategy accordingly.

  • Develop a point of view on where Juniper Square should show up, where we should invest more, and where we should stop spending time and money.

Partnership and influence

  • Be a trusted working partner to the AEs and sales leaders covering your portfolio.

  • Exercise judgment when requests do not warrant investment. Be able to explain why, propose an alternative, and align stakeholders around the better path.

  • Proactively participate in relevant Sales channels and planning cadences rather than waiting to be brought in once an event has already been decided.

  • Bring market, event, and account insights back to the Events team so what one portfolio learns makes the entire function stronger.

Qualifications

Must-haves, both levels

  • 6+ years of experience running B2B events, field programs, customer programs, or similar work where you owned the outcome, not only the execution.

  • Strong commercial orientation. You have carried or contributed to a pipeline or revenue target, or you are deliberately looking for a role where your work will be directly accountable to one.

  • Strong judgment and prioritization skills, including the ability to push back on low-value work, explain why, and propose a better alternative.

  • A track record of building trusted working relationships with account executives and Sales leaders.

  • Working fluency with Salesforce, Marketo, Asana, and event technology. You do not need to be an administrator, but you understand what good data hygiene looks like and why it determines whether the impact of your work can be measured.

  • A track record of creating programs people genuinely wanted to attend, not only executing event logistics well.

  • Ability and willingness to travel for on-site event execution.

Helpful, not required

  • Experience in private markets, asset management, fintech, or financial services.

  • Familiarity with the private markets conference circuit and its major producers, particularly private equity or venture capital.

  • Comfort using AI tools and lightweight automation to move faster without sacrificing quality.

  • Based in or near one of our core event markets, ideally New York or San Francisco. Familiarity with the local market, event landscape, and community is a meaningful advantage.

Compensation

Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. The U.S. base salary for this role is 138,000 - 170,000 USD. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.

Benefits include:

  • Health, dental, and vision care for you and your family

  • Life insurance

  • Mental wellness coverage

  • Fertility and growing family support

  • Flex Time Off in addition to company-paid holidays

  • Paid family leave, medical leave, and bereavement leave policies

  • Retirement saving plans

  • Allowance to customize your work and technology setup at home

  • Annual professional development stipend

Your recruiter can provide additional details about compensation and benefits.
