What The Role Is
Reporting to the Director of Construction, the Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for the direct management oversight and on-schedule, on-budget delivery of assigned projects to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. This role will establish project objectives and procedures, maintains liaison with primary client contacts, and directs and monitors construction and financial activities by providing direction to project engineers, supply chain and logistics coordinators, administrative and finance staff, on-site construction managers, and subcontracted labor and design services. The Senior Construction Project Manager may also manage multiple small to medium size projects and associated project delivery staff, or may be the primary project manager on a single large project.
This position will be based out of the Clearway office in Scottsdale, AZ. Remote work option may be available.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for complying and monitoring Company safety and quality goals on assigned projects
- Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction on assigned projects
- Responsible for managing the planning, design and construction process for all assigned projects
- Responsible for managing budget, schedule goals, and cost lifecycle of assigned projects, from project inception through project closeout
- Create, oversee and track all schedule aspects for assigned projects, from pre-approval through project close-out to ensure on-time delivery
- Responsible for managing the risk register from the start of work through COD
- Identify key construction and design components through on-site audits with design and sales teams
- Perform regular risk-analysis and cost forecasting and reporting for assigned projects
- Leverage knowledge of system delivery milestones to capture reduced construction costs wherever possible
- Coordinate resource availability and operational needs to ensure achievement of established project goals
- Conduct subcontractor and supplier Kick-off meeting
- Monitor final budget, contract review, schedule, and signature acquisition process for all assigned projects
- Identifies opportunities for and initiates customer change orders, as required
- Responsible for overseeing document management and administration for assigned projects
- Responsible for supervising multiple teams, including junior project management staff, contractors, subcontractors, and assigned construction managers
- Negotiate and manage subcontracts and subcontractor change management
- Serve as the primary corporate representative to the customer, permitting agencies, and other project personnel
- 50% - 75% travel depending on project needs
What You'll Bring
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience
- 4+ Years’ Experience with Solar Energy, Community Solar or Utility Wind Energy Projects
- Experience working for an EPC, CM Consulting Firm, Engineering Firm or Construction Contractor
- Experience leading complex internal / external teams, building consensus and driving project and corporate initiatives
- Experience working with EPC Contracts, Subcontracts
- Strong technical, supervisory, and project management skills based on construction industry experience
- Strong familiarity with construction and electrical codes
- Ability to successfully procure, monitor, and assess subcontracted construction functions such as electrical contractors
- Strong analytical skills
- Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization, as well as outside customers and vendors
- Ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
- Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project is required
- Ability to travel 50-75% of the time
What Would Be Nice
- General Contractors license a plus
- OEM Construction experience preferred

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.
