We are recruiting for a Senior Compliance Manager to join our Luxembourg Compliance team. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced compliance professional who enjoys operating at a senior level, influencing stakeholders, and helping to shape a strong culture of governance and integrity. Reporting into the Chief Compliance Officer (Luxembourg), the role will support the leadership, oversight and continuous enhancement of the Compliance Framework across Aviva Investors' Luxembourg entities.

A bit about the role: 

As Senior Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective regulatory compliance, governance and conduct across Aviva Investors' Luxembourg operations. 

Working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, this position will provide independent challenge and trusted advice to Boards, senior management and key stakeholders, while acting as a senior escalation point for complex compliance matters. The role includes oversight of compliance monitoring, regulatory change, delegation and outsourcing arrangements, and engagement with regulators including the CSSF.

The successful candidate will also serve as a strategic adviser on investment products, fund structures and regulatory developments, providing practical and risk-based compliance guidance throughout the product lifecycle. This includes supporting the design, launch and ongoing oversight of UCITS, AIFs and other investment solutions, ensuring regulatory requirements are appropriately considered while enabling the business to deliver its strategic objectives. 

As Deputy to the Chief Compliance Officer, the role will contribute to the strategic direction of the Compliance function, support regulatory engagement and help foster a strong culture of accountability, transparency and risk awareness across the business.

The role requires an individual who can combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness, providing clear and pragmatic advice while maintaining independence of judgment and effective challenge.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg and EU regulatory frameworks, including UCITS, AIFMD, CSSF governance requirements, delegation oversight, AML/CFT obligations, investor protection requirements, conduct risk considerations, and emerging regulatory developments affecting the asset management industry.
• Significant compliance experience within the Luxembourg fund or asset management sector, with the ability to provide practical, risk-based advice and independent challenge to senior stakeholders, Boards and regulators, while translating complex regulatory requirements into clear and actionable business guidance.
• Deep expertise in product and fund governance, with a thorough understanding of investment products, fund structures, distribution models, and the regulatory considerations associated with product development, fund launches, material product changes and ongoing product oversight across UCITS, AIFs and other investment solutions.
• Strong understanding of investment management activities and operating models, including governance frameworks, operational risk and control environments across the asset management value chain, with proven experience partnering with product development, portfolio management, distribution, legal, risk and operational teams to deliver commercially aware, solutions-focused compliance advice.
• Recognised subject matter expertise in Luxembourg and European fund regulation, with experience leading regulatory change initiatives, assessing the impact of new regulations on products and business activities, advising senior management and Boards on complex regulatory, governance and conduct matters, and leading, coaching and developing colleagues in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
