Job Description:

Rakuten Travel is a leading online travel agency in Japan under Rakuten Group Inc. Launched in 2001, it offers Japan’s broadest selection of hotels and other accommodation facilities for both leisure and business travelers, as well as package tours with airlines and more. Rakuten Travel also covers accommodations in markets around the world and offers support in 9 languages.

We are looking for a customer-focused Travel Consultant to assist our local partners. The ideal candidate has travel industry experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for the travel industry! Join us in delivering exceptional journeys to our customers!

Responsibilities:

• Contract and Promotional Support: Provide support in connection with the execution of contracts between the Japan headquarters and hotel partners, as well as promotional activities targeting customers in Japan.

• Partner Analysis: Conduct current-state analysis of partners (primarily hotel partners).

• Consulting Support: in relation to online travel and accommodation plans and other initiatives for online sales.

• Headquarters Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate closely with the Japan headquarters.

• Other Permitted Duties: Perform duties assigned by the Head of the Representative Office, provided that such duties fall within the scope of activities legally permitted for Representative Office

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the hospitality or a related industry.

• Adaptability: Proven track record of success working in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

• Performance: Demonstrated ability to drive results in the travel or related industry through proactive initiative and persistence.

• Autonomy: Ability to work with minimal supervision and proactively drive partnership opportunities.

• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to foresee the final outcomes of business opportunities.

• Experience in consulting support

• Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese.
