Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct research activities such as user interviews, concept testing, usability studies, surveys, and competitive reviews.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into clear insights and actionable product recommendations.
- Work with Product and Engineering to understand requirements, technical constraints, and opportunities.
- Use research and feedback to iterate on designs and improve usability, accessibility, performance, and consistency.
- Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, interaction patterns, and high-fidelity designs.
- Contribute to shared design systems, components, and standards.
- Participate in design critiques and collaborate with teammates to strengthen the quality of the work.
- Communicate design rationale and research findings clearly to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
- Support product experiments and help evaluate outcomes using user feedback and product data.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Interaction or Product Design, Human Factors, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of professional experience in product design, UX design, UX research, or a related role.
- A portfolio or case studies that show your design process, research approach, and contribution to shipped or tested digital experiences.
- Experience designing consumer-facing mobile or web products; mobile-first experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of user-centred design and research methods, including interviewing, usability testing, synthesis, and insight communication.
- Strong interaction and visual design fundamentals, with attention to clear, intuitive experiences.
- Proficiency with Figma, including components, auto layout, and prototyping.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, receive feedback, and work through ambiguity with support from teammates.
- Clear, concise communication and presentation skills.
- Strong product intuition, with the ability to balance speed, experimentation, and long-term quality.
Bonus
- Interest in or knowledge of player behaviours, gaming culture, and industry trends.
- Experience with social, community, or network-driven products.
- Strong experimentation mindset (A/B testing, metrics-informed iteration).
- Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design practices.
- Experience contributing to a design system.
At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
