The Opportunity

The Operations – Digital/Technical Product Manager Internship is within the Digital and Omnichannel Servicing team in the Life Company’s operation organization, the team’s focus is to provide excellent Digital and Omnichannel experiences across mobile, web, conversational channels etc. The service experience is not only essential for meeting all post-acquisition needs for the members but also are a key part of retention and maintaining long-term relationships with the members. We take a data driven approach and keep member satisfaction at the heart of every decision. You will be part of a team of Digital Product managers and get to work on key projects of key emphasis for our members and of strategic importance while working closely with stakeholders across the company.

The internship will be based at the USAA Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. Interns offered full-time roles may have the opportunity to work out of one of USAA’s satellite locations.

What you'll do:

Our Interns work under direct supervision and follow risk and compliance procedures and guidance, perform routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members, including the following tasks:

• With direction/oversight, leverages Digital or Technology research, business and market intelligence, and data-driven insights to support team members to identify opportunities, propose solutions, create and maintain roadmaps, and improve performance.

• Under guidance, prepares supporting data and materials for generating compelling presentations, and other forms of communication, to inform and influence key stakeholders.

• Assists team members to collaborate with necessary stakeholders to formulate effective strategies for achieving key Digital or Technology product goals.

• Acquires, maintains and applies developing knowledge of Technology, UX, Business, relevant experiences and processes, and an academic understanding of Product Management.

• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you need to have:

To qualify, you must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years. Our 2027 internship will start on June 2, 2027 and last through August 13, 2027.

• Graduation date cannot be prior to August 13, 2027

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Science.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $27-$36. Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the hourly range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual hourly rate for this role may vary by location.
