About the Role
The Inside Sales Manager leads the site's Inside Sales team and oversees customer support, quotations, quote-to cash management, forecasting support, and coordination throughout the customer order lifecycle. This role partners closely with the Commercial team and cross-functional site leaders to ensure customer commitments are executed efficiently while improving workflow, communication, and operational performance. The Inside Sales Manager develops the team, drives operational excellence, removes process bottlenecks, and leads continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen business performance and the customer experience.
The position owns customer execution while enabling Commercial Account Managers to focus on strategic revenue growth
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, develop, and manage the performance of the Inside Sales team.
- Establish clear expectations, priorities, and accountability for customer responsiveness, accuracy, and execution.’
- Develop systems that allow team to track and measure customer excellence
- Maintain a less than 3 business day turn around loop for acknowledging new orders.
- Develop team capability through coaching, cross-training, succession planning, and performance development.
- Oversee daily Inside Sales activities, including customer inquiries, quotations, order entry, order management, and issue resolution.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer quotations, orders, pricing, specifications, and related documentation.
- Serve as the primary site liaison for commercial execution, coordinating cross-functional activities to support customer commitments and operational priorities.
- Partner with the Commercial team to support customer priorities, forecasting, account needs, and effective site-level execution.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues affecting customer commitments.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks within Inside Sales processes and cross-functional workflows.
- Drive 80/20 optimization and work flows for incoming orders and oppurtunties
- Develop and maintain standardized processes, work instructions, and best practices that improve consistency, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Establish, monitor, and communicate operational and customer service performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex customer, quotation, and order-related issues.
- Ensure effective communication regarding customer commitments, operational risks, and issue resolution across internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify trends, recurring customer issues, and improvement opportunities, partnering with the Commercial team and site leadership to enhance the customer experience.
- Partner with the Commercial team to support forecasting activities and ensure customer demand, order activity, and related business data remain accurate.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve workflow, data integrity, customer responsiveness, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with pricing requirements, contractual commitments, company procedures, quality systems, and applicable ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, order management, commercial operations, or a related function.
- Previous experience leading, coaching, and developing employees required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting technical or engineered products preferred.
- Experience using ERP and CRM systems required; JD Edwards experience preferred.
- Experience supporting domestic and international customers preferred.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with regular interaction across manufacturing, warehouse, and cleanroom areas.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
- Must comply with all required safety, PPE, and cleanroom protocols when entering production areas.
- Occasional travel may be required.

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $109,800.00 - $164,600.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.Benefits Package
