Description
Cardiac Anesthesiologist opportunity to practice with a great team at UPMC Western Maryland---a voluntary nonprofit, short term acute care hospital with 240 Medicare certified beds and is a member of the Western Maryland Health System. UPMC Western Maryland provides healthcare services for residents in Allegany and Garrett Counties in Maryland and surrounding counties in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. State of the art medical equipment and an experienced staff ensure community members have access to serious medicine close to home.

Total Rewards
Salary: $625K
Chief Stipend: $50K

Case Assignments
• Cases include, but are not limited to, Cardiac, Ortho, General, Neuro, and GYN.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Requirements
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine 
• TEE proficiency is required 
• Completion of Cardiac Fellowship 
• ECFMG and FLEX 
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia 
• Currently licensed as a physician
